You know, a good way to make the USA like you more could be to sell Puerto Rico and Curacao to 'em. You might even get some nice American claims to some pacific islands if you play your cards right. 
The Great FORWARD! of 1893-1897
Zihil's rule was marked by expansion of both military and industry. Zihil did his best to acquire foreign technology, but beign isolated, these attempts often failed and the people of SCUA had to rely on their own knowledge. Before Zihil came into power, the industry was massive but primitive. Huge weapon factories mad poorly built putdated weapons. But this changed soon railroads built everywhere. Year 1895 was expectional as the people of SCUA accuired many life-easing machines. Zihil ordered a fertilizer and a machine part factory to be built. With new technologies they had the arms factories started to make better and better weapons such as machine guns. An uniform factory was built in 1897, giving the economy a doubble boost as they no longer had to rely on foreign uniforms and they could sell their products now. Improved technology rised the profit from glass, one of SCUA's main sources of money to unseen levels, canned food was somewhat profitable now, with the help of 'newly' 'discovered' nitroglycering the artilery factories became productive.
The army was expanded with the founding of PAJav and PAAi, People's Army of Java and People's Army of Ainu. PAJav was at first nothing more than 12000 men garrison and PAAi was composed of 10000 regular 2000 highly trained and motivated soldiers but they would eventual grow larger.
But everythign wasn't fine. Many citizens started to get angry at the militaristic goverment and the lack of the promised reforms. The shortage of coal was a limiting factor for the industry. The alck of steel was another. Without coal, steel production couldn't be expanded and without steel, SCUA could never get the navy it dreams of.

Ok people, I need your help a bit now... I tired taking Korea but it gives me border with powermongering Russia (they dowed me when I occupied the Korean province bordering Russia ) and the Korean armies, or rather the partisans are insane! I occupied Korea from head to toe, but the partisans just kept popping and popping and I lost the occupied territories...
But I need that damned coal and iron!
Any advice?

I can imagine.
What I did as Holland when I invaded Korea was turn a lot of the POPs into soldiers and raise irregular units to guard the territory. They will do a fine job of keeping those pesky rebels down. Turn the Koreans against each other!

On 21st of March 1897 the 1st Maritime Pact was signed with the ASR. SCUA would give Curacao to ASR and ASR would give technological aid to SCUA. Bothered by anarchistic revolts in Japan and nationalist revolts in forme DEI, the Supreme Council turned it's eyes to social reforms. It however soon become clear that SCUA could only afford pathetic trinkets so the project was dropped. First machineguns entered the service on the same day the orders for expansion of PAAi was given, March 29.
However, the nation would soon be rocked in an almost unseen tragedy...
On September 17 the Insurgent Army mutineered. Formed out of volunteers and beign less 'brainwashed' than the more professional armies, the Insurgent Army proclaimed that it won't serve a goverment that spits on the revolution and opresses its people. Two infantry division led by General Kawazaki were sent to deal with the mutineers, but he failed. The Insurgent Army was more experienced, the now rogue officers ahd served under Ueda himself. The rebel lines held and in Octoboer 18 a sharpshooter claimed Kawazaki's life. The sharpshooter, Zhe Kuewari, became a hero of all anarchistic in SCUA. .PAJ was called to crush the mutineer, but they failed as the mutineers quickly dissolved. Few weeks later Zhe managed to set up a rebelion in just a few hundred miles away from the spot he claimed Kawazaki's life.
III PAJ that was led by Kawazaki was dissolved. New Colony Raiders were formed under the command of General Sakai.
On November 2 the 2nd Maritime Pact was signed. SCUA gave Puerto Rico to ARS and gained technology in exchange.
Whta will await in future? Will SUCA triumph or will it fail? Only time can tell...

You should annex Korea, then sell the border provinces with Russia to a friendly power, like the USA. Or maybe even britain or China, just to have a more powerful buffer.

Oh, its going very well. I actually like the new flag you're using. How does one change an image into a flag? I know where to put the files already, but how does one use the included flag maker?
