That "Zihil" is becoming power mad, isn't he? ;) Still, an interesting turn of events and I look forward to seeing on how your island hopping campaign turns out. Still, I think that you will have Borneo and The Dutch East Indies soon. :D

First months of Zihil's reign

One of the first things Zihil did when he came into power was the passing of Conscripton Act: About 160 000 Japanese Miners and Ainu Timbermen were drafted. This gave the army a very considerable manpower expansion, allowing SAF not only reinforce the existing armies but raise two new divisions. Zihil was more concerned of naval than land strength now. He started furious diplomatic efforts to improve their relations with their technologicaly superior comrades in order to get naval technology. Zihil's reign was remembered the time when SCUA became a strong military power but when arts, culture and new thoughts suffered. Some historians have said that Sakai's and Zihil's days of 'War Socialism ' were necessary evil.

The war operations proceeded very well in the Dutch East Indies with the capture of Sulawesi and capture of Dutch colonial structures in Kanto Islands. Java and Sumatra would be the next main targets.

But war is no just plans...

Somewhere near Venezuelan Coast, May 16

-"Listen up comrades! I know you must be exited, beign so far from home and so on, but this is just a normal island raid. I expect that you have taken your medicines. Now get ready, we're going to start in matter of hours! Curacao is the island where slave traders revelled only thrity years ago. Remember that!"

DEI Naval Territory, Java Sea, May 16

-"Comrade! Comrade! The corvettes have spotted Dutch steamers! A whole fleet of them! A whole fleet of unarmed steamships!"

-"WHAT!?"

-"Well, this isn't the first time they try something suicidal."

-"How many ships there are, exactly?"

-"They estimated that there would be 900 ships..."

-"900!?"

Not that I want to question your judgement, oh great Zihil, but aren't the miners and timberman important for that part of the industry?

By the way, the suffering of arts in Japan under communism reminds me of the Gang of Four in China ;) I guess that means "Good job"

Yes, this AAR has been affected by real world history. ;)

Yeah, you know I never knew about the "Gang of Four" until I did a report on Chinese animation. The animators had it BAD  The government imprisoned them and other artists, and Chinese animation virtually stopped for ten years! You see a heavy anti-Communist undertone in Chinese animation after that. But why the heck am I saying all this...? *attention whore alert*

A brief question, where did the new Japanese socialist flag come from? And how is the USA communist?

Did you use event 23100 by any chance to get the new flag and the Marxist government?

No idea. The dev's proapbly made it up. The flag of Japan's communist party is diffrent. I'm gonna replace it with a diffrent one after I spank the Dutch.

Yes, I used the event. But the Socialists were elected before I used that event.

A man's tale - Wayne Kojima

Wayne "Mars" Kojima is one of the most well-know generals of SCUA.

When the Japanese Revolution occured, political immigrants poured from everywhere, mainly Ireland, Philippines, Modern FKBF* areas, Australia, Dutch East Indies and ASR**. Kojima's mother was Australian. She moved to SCUA when Kojima was five years old. Kojima was a sporty and stubborn child. After completing the Compulsory Studies Kojima first studied in Edo Military Acatemy and later in Kyoto Military Acatemy.

Kojima was a quickly-learning, talented student who had a great intrest in military history. Kojima was a very large, hairy man, brutish, occasionaly impulsive, perhaps even violent young man who was almost completely diffrent from the other students, both physicaly and mentaly. He "did not bother" following the ancient japanese traditions that most of the japanese still sticked. During command excercises he roared the orders with a deep bass voice that later became alcohol burnt, making it even more fearsome. Even if his teachers didn't expect much, Kojima was the best student of his class.

He quickly climbed up ranks in the military, thanks to his boldness, talent and training and in the eve of the First War in the Pacific, Kojima was trusted the I Taiwan Garrison/II PAJ. During the Taiwan Mutinity, Kojima skillfully crushed the rebels. His leaders were so impressed that he was ordered to crush the Borneo revolters, which he did with great skill.

In Second War in the Pacific he was the leader of the Sumatra Invasion which was highly succesfull.

Kojima's strength, boldness, 'warlikeness' and succes gave him the nickname "Mars", refering to the ancient god of war.

I have a small question: Did you customize the names of your corps? (ie II People's Army) Or do they do that when you become communist?

The masses were enraged. This was the most outrageous act of terrorism. The Dutch must have been behind this! Yes! The bastard Dutch! Who else could have killed the Prime Adminstrator of Borneo? Only the Dutch could be so mischevious!

Not only that, the Dutch had continued their suicidal breakthourgh attempts. Finaly Proletariat Fleet was able to slip through and PAJ could commit an amphibious landing.

Yamagata's troops were able to take two provinces, defeat a Dutch division and nearly encircle them when the paper came. It came as facelessly as the declaration of war had came. The paper clearly stated the Dutch offer. And Zihil accepted it. Response was send swiftly.

nipsoc4.jpg

The Dutch would keep small 'Adminstrative Areas', but otherwise the whole DEI belonged to SCUA. One bit closer to the final goal, Zihil thought.

The peace had returned once again...

Anyway, update soon!

Sooner than you would believe!

The peace had returned. The Supreme Council had returned to more peacefull plans, at least for a while. Railraods were built, arguments against for full statehood of MASCUA(Maritime Areas of Socialist Council Union of Asia, Former DEI and Spanish colonies) areas. Also, the area gains in the other side of the world, the SCUAAMT(Socialist Council Union of Asia American Martime Teritory) was an issue.

But soon the nation would be torn in tragedy, again. Ueda, undoubtedly one of the most important figures of SCUA, died in December 26. His last words were "I would have wanted to write a book". He died to something that appeared to be a parasitical disease. The whole nation mourned. Kojima was ordered to take Ueda's place in Supreme Council. But who would lead the Colony Raiders was undecided.

Satou, with the help of few artists, designed a new flag for SCUA after Ueda's death:

nflag1.JPG

The red color surrounding the star symbolizes blood split by the worker's under oppression, blood spilt by freedom fighters and blood spilt by those who fought to liberate others and those who ahve died for their cause. The star's black borders symbolize the strugle to achieve a free, socialistic society. The red-yellow pattern inside the star symbolizes sunrise, hope. The sickle and hammer is the symbol of the Council Union and it is a widely spread symbol of communists. It is said that Ueda's funerals were the first place where the flag was used. The ASR's leader Marcus Laurentin was in the funeral and he seemed to be genuinely sad. It was a clear sign of the warming of SCUA-ASR relations.

No, I made it. :)

Actualy, I made the first 'version' on paper when I was 5 or 6. Yes, believe it or not. It has cool laurels. And it has a Shovel and Hammer instead of Sickle and Hammer. :)
