Actually reverends(imams) were saying new technologies are against İslam. But in 19. and 20. century Ottomans were trying to research something but Ottoman Empire were too behind of Europe.Ottoman Empire had no chance to modernise and survive in 20. century.

Mmm, I'd say "very unlikely" but not "impossible". (although it depends on exactly hwat you mean by "survive" too)
