All Quiet on the Eastern Front
The Ebony Eagle
The Red Winter
"Peter?"
No answer, the scene is pitch black.
"Peter?"
"What?" mumbles a tired Peter Strause.
"Panzers are on the move, so is the Luftwaffe."
"Luftwaffe? Willy are you alright?"
"Look for yourself," said Wilhelm, pointing up to the skies.
Overhead a marvolous and amazing display of German planes circled over head on the nearby road across the forest a German Armoured Collumn moved forward with much haste. There was great news from the south, 170,000 Soviet soldiers were captured during the Battle of Kracow and the German Southern Flank, now commanded by Field Marshal Ringel and his Italien Armee solidified the Southern Polish Front from further Russian troubles. With this news, the German High Command picked up their Winter Offensive and began to press on Russian-held Warsaw and the nearby cities and towns in an attempt to distrupt the Russians Logistical efforts.
Field Marshal von von Tippelskirch looked from the inside of his car and in his winter dress uniform looked at the many Russian Liberation solidiers and German Panzergrenadiers moving through the blizzard and harsh blistering weather. He looked back at his subidornate commander, General Andrei Vlassov sitting behind him and to the left.
"Mein gott, its so beautiful. I thought I would never see something like this out of our armies ever again," a tear falls from von Tippelskirch's eye. From behind, Vlassov merely smiles at the German Field Marshal.
The sounds of a thousand soldiers' boots and tracks of hundreds of tanks and halftracks thunder through the Polish woodlands to their forward destination points, the Russians have no idea of what is about to hit them. In their line, Peter Strause and Wilhelm Pelzer walk pass the German Field Marshal and Russian Liberation General, they look at one another and begin to talk about their thoughts about the two men, Strause protests against both Vlassov and von Tippelskirch, underneath his breathe ofcourse. The sides are lined with vehicles with all markings.
"Do you have any idea where we're going Peter?"
"Your guess is just as good as mine. To be honest, no one is saying much but something big is about to happen, things like this just don't happen for show."
"What about fortifying the front?"
Peter laughs, "Be honest, look at everyone's face. A big thing is about to occur in the next few days or weeks..."
"And in the winter months, you must be crazy."
"Willy, believe me when I say this, I say this as a friend who deeply cares about you. All hell is about brake loose in a few days...
... The Liberation of Russia has begun."
And so it begins, the days that all of our fathers will remember, the day the Nazi Germany defied all odds, the day that the Russian Communist Horde would have its final test. The Battle of Warsaw has begun, the Liberation of Russia is now moments away...
