Hi guys!

A lot of you have been asking about the "Secret DLC" that was to be rewarded to everyone who participated in the signup campaign. In case you missed it on the stream yesterday I tell you again now:

The secret DLC is something called the "Rocket Artillery Pack", which contains a few unique models for Self Propelled Rocket Artillery vehicles. It contains the Katyusha, T27 Xylophone and Wurfrahmen 40 mounted on a truck. Here is a the video shown in the stream yesterday displaying their awesomness.

This DLC will be given for free to everyone who buys Hearts of Iron IV! We hope that none of you guys that actually participated in the sign-up campaign is disappointed by the removal of it's exclusivity and believe, like we do, that everyone deserves to have it. You who actually did the signup will still get exclusive forum avatars, icons, wallpapers and a strategy guide. These are to be delivered on release at the latest.

You did the right thing. while I did sign up, that would have been frustrating to miss if i did not. We got other cool shit anyways.

omg this is ridiculous. All of the research done for this game, why on earth would you attach rockets to an OPEL!!!!. This screams rush job, get something done, I dont care what you do, direct to the artist. Must not have a clue about proper WW2 weapons.

How are these models suppose to be displayed on map? I thought only the dominant battalion type showed up such as infantry or tanks.

actually, its because of the way research is set up. Only motorized vehicles get the self propelled rocket artillery upgrade, not mechanized.

Yes, but they didn't need to leave the canvas covering on the trucks!

While i love the visual eye candy im not sure about these. You wont ever see them on the map with the way they decide what model appears unless you make a rocket artillery only Div. They should have done more airplane types or maybe some tank destroyers or even some ship types.

Could we have the Eselshreck in the game please, as a special unit for non towed/motorised/mechanised rocket arty, zero fuel used in production, maybe some feed and carrots

If I had done this sign up campaign, I'd be really upset by this. I go out of my way normally to try to get exclusive things that other people can't get later so it was a really tempting thing. So i'm really glad I decided not to participate in this one. There needs to be MORE ways to earn exclusive stuff not available to people generally, not less.

So does a division that contains rocket artillery automatically have this sprite? I am a little bit confused on how the game decides which sprite it shows ingame, like infantry guy, tank, etc.

So just for clarification - it's just sprites on the map (that won't even matter if I prefer counters), there's no actual changes to the technology tree or the actual models developed through production etc.? Thinking this for the pre-order as well - it's all just sprites, right?

Thank you so much for these and also for the Stellaris sign up stuff that I would never have got simply because I never found out about Sellaris until I came to the forum to find out information on HOI IV
