I will post a report on the Prussian, and try a new format. I will report in 5 year increments... and keep them simple. Let me know if you like it.

I have chosen the 1.9 IGC. on the Hardest Difficulty, and Highest AI Agression. I have made a house Rule... No Bankruptcy it is too easy to win that way. My goal will be simply to win on Victory points.

The First Five years Came in like a lion and out like a lamb.

THE FIRST PRUSSIAN POLISH WAR.

1492. I Decare war on Poland and My allie the Totally useless Knights.. oops I mean Teutonic Kights, join. They will spend the next year besieging Weliki and eventually die off in the winter still besieging them

January I took a loan and bought 2,000 cavalary and 6,000 inanftry

April I increased my Soldiers pay and bought 4,000 more infantry, which basicly spent the entire loan, I declared war on Poland and advanced into the polish capital with all but 2,000 infantry and into the Pripet with 4,000 cavalry.

May I made my first Assault on the Minimal fortress Capital wich failed but 2,000 opposing soldiers died stopping us. I begin a serries of Skirmish pinning actions in Lithuania.

June I begin a serries of pinning actions in Posnan, I am holing 55,000 troops at bay in Lithuania and 35,000 in Posnan

July my second assault on the Polish Capital succeeds I order my troops to march back through East Prussia and into Danzig.

August the Pinning actions are ruining my prestige, I am a Baronette with -10 victory points now.

September. My 15,000 infantry arrive in Danzig and Assualt, it fails but they take down 2,300 of the 5,000 defenders

October the Pinning actions are getting scary, I am now pinning 25,000 troops in Courland, I am pinning in three directions

November with High hopes I assault Danzig ... which Fails. The Garrison is reduced to 850

December continue pinning troops ( I am now at -17 Victory points.)

January 2, 1493, I launch another assault on Danzig,

January 6, 1493 Danzig Falls, Although tempted to try and take another city, I decide against, not just for the loss of Prestige a few more months of pinning would cost but the worrie of taming the peasants in two new Provinces. We make peace with poland for 140 Ducats and Danzig, The COT and goal of my first war, Danzig had a Balif built in it by the Poles so It holding out till Jan,6 had a positive side also.

Total casualties of the war 3,500 infantry, 400 cavalry. my standing army size is up to 18,000 infantry and 3,600 Cavalry.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPEMENT THE FIRST 5 YEARS.

Having taken a loan out in January 1492, I planned to repay it in 1497 which limited my options.

I bought a balif in Prussia in January 1493, with the 70 ducats I recieved from polland, and over the course of 1493, invested in 5 merchant companies to work in My trade center of Danzig, this seemed justified over the long haul.

We have formed Royal Marriages with everyone we can, France, England, Baden, Pommerainia, Hunseatic League, Brandenberg, Thurgin, Tetonic Knights, Cologne, Palintinate There seems not to be one elgible maiden that can refuse a Prussian Stud


We increased our Trade and Land Military tech, untill 1495 when we started putting all tax resources into our treasury.

In January 1497 we repayed our loan.

OTHER DEVELOPMENTS:
The immeadiate area other then Russia annexing Kazan has been peaceful. Further afield the Turks failed to fully maul the Mameluks settling for one province and an Idemnity, and Erie has been beset uppon by a Scottish alliance, so far all Scottish allies have taken indemnities. And Scottland has yet to make Peace. As I type French-English war has broken out, before the Scottish-Erie war has finished, It is most messy there.

1493 was a big year The Portugese discovered the Americas and their prestige has skyrocketed.

At the five year anniversary. then.

we are finacially stable with 18 Ducats in our Treasury and no loans,

Victory points are as follows( Austria and Poland are not measured in the settings I made them conquerable, although Austria will be tough with the Austrian Netherlands on)

Turkey is Maintaining 250,000 man land force.

I have decided to postion to campaign against the Tetonic knights and Join Huseatic league over the next few years, unless poland gets involved in a war in which case I will go after Poland again. They have 90,000 men on my border so I will not attack yet.

Well we will report in 1502 again.

The French English war resulted in the cedeing of Calais to France, In a strange developement after 5 years the Scottish Erie war still has not resolved. The Brave Irish fight on....

Turkey will loose a war to a Polish Moldavian alliance, interestingly the loss will result in Bujak... to Modavia with Poland recieving nothing and just loosing troops. A most excellent result from the Prussian perspective. The war will break out in 1498 after I am tired from my Teutonic Knight war and finish in 1500 before I am recovered.

Near the end of 1502 much to my delight a French-Hapsburg war has Broken out. With France Assisted by Savoy Navarra Scottland and (certainly in a marriage of convenience) Turkey, fighting the combined Spanish Austrian Hapsburgh Alliance which includes Hungary Bavaria, Wurtenberg, and Helvitia. Although Turkey still maintains the biggest land force in Europe they only recieved the one province in the Mameluk war and must still be limping from there debacle with the Polish/Moldavian forces. I think this war may not boad well for Turkey and France will be hardpressed we shall see, either way it is good the Major Power are dissapaiting some of there resources on each other.

now onto Prussia

THE PRUSSIAN TEUTONIC KNIGHT WAR.

The Province of Kurland is rich and Memel is filled with Prussians wishing to be once more a part of our empire. The Cause Beli over Memel will let the world and our people approve of demanding satisfaction.

March 1497 I leave the Alliance with the Tetonic Knights, and Join the alliance with Huseatic league, Brandenberg, and Pommerainia.

I put my soldiers on full pay, and position 13,000 infantry in Prussia and the remaining 7,000 mixed infantry cav back in Danzig,

We Declare war calling our allies. All join the fight.

April we advance into Memel temporallilly Seiging it
the Teutonic knight troops advance into East Prussia

May the rest of the Teutonic knight troops advance into East Prussia and we order the 12,000 men in memel to advance to Kurland

June-July our allies traveling through danzig after three attacks route the teutonic knights who reatreat back into Kurland beign pursued. we order our reserve force to Memel

August 1497 The Teutonic knights are rousted out of Kuralnd by our already entrenched forces, and the arrival of 21,000 Pommerainian infantry. as soon as the pitched battle is decided we assault the city with 21,000 pomerainians joining the city falls.

At the end of the month Memel comes under seige from our reserve force.

September having pursued the Knights into Livonia we route them again into Esotnia and we await our allies besieging livonia.

October as our allies arrive in Livonia we assualt the city, and it falls,

Novemeber our allies travel down to Memmel to join our besieging forces there, and an Assault is ordered, Memell falls to our forces.

Although I debated going to Estonia and annexint the entire country of the Teutonic Knights, I decided it was politic to make peace at this time, and for 250 ducats, Memmel and Kurland, the Honor of the
Prussian people was restored, our share of 70 ducats was invested in infantry to replace losses and garrison the newly conquered Kurland, and continue to watch Danzig, We were welcomed into Memmell as heroes and there is no fear of a revolt there. Even with new recruits are standing army is down to 17,000 with 2,500 being Cavalry.

1497-1502 Economic Developments.

Having repayed our loan and not wanting inflation we developed little during the period, a decision was made to put most of our research into infastructure, legal counsel and better production income seemed goals worth achieving.
In 1501 we purchased a Balif for Kurland, Without creating inflation that was roughly two years in income.

A big decision was reached in 1501 we left the Hanseatic league alliance, and took Brandenburg as our sole allie, In hopes of politically annexing them in the future, I am not sure if that is possible but they would be the Ideal annexation target so soon we will start trying. We added Baden but right now stand vulnerable, but It seems only Poland or Teutonic knights might attack us and with Brandenbergs help I believe with an emergency loan or two I could resolve that if forced to.

by 1502 we are now recieving 32 ducats annual tax revenues.

AT the end of 1502, we have pulled into the pack on infrastructure level and are still competative in land force and trade technology.

Ahh I sorely underated the French, in the 1501-504 French spanish war they won, recieving a Western Euroupean province and as I write in 1507 are teaching the Hunseatic league/Pommerainians a lesson, after thrashing both the English and The Spanish/Austrian Coalition Europe is looking at them with great respect .. and dare I say fear.

1502-1507 in HRE and Eastern Europe. As I solidified by Alliance with the Brandenburgs, and the French/Hapsburgh war spilled over into a regional Conflict with The Hanseatic league Pommerainia and Tetonic Knights engageing poland. Knowing an opportunity was at hand we started gathering the maximum rexources allowable from the Tax rolls. Danzing in this period would rebel three times and Kurland once, both soley from fiesty Nationalist demanding independence, It took over a 1/1/2 years to build up my army to 26,000 including 30 cannons, and in 1504 in a stroke of good fortune both Hannover and Hessen accepted and invitation to our alliance as there alliance with Saxony and Wurtenberg disolved. With the Polish Army reduced to 20,000 soldiers engaging pommerainia and 15,000 engaging the Teutonic Knights and no more beign formed up I was ready to declare War.

THE SECOND PRUSSIAN POLISH WAR.

March 1504 I declare war moving 19-0-3 army into Masov the Polish Capital and puting a 3-2-0 army in reserve in East prussia, All my allies honor our alliance and Hessen, hannover and Brandenberg begin to move,

April 1504 the 20,000 Polish army has left pommerainia and ahs gone south of Masow for some unknown reason it appears to want to cross the entire front and go toward Weliki/Tula area. my allies are still coming, I order anther 10 cannons

May the poles begin frantic building in 3 provinces. The Siege has made no progress

June My allies begin sieging Western Pommerainia

July 35,000 allies in Pommerainia the 20,000 army has joined with Pomerainia and has advanced toward lithuania

august the Polish Army from eastern Pomerainia has realeased and entered Danzig. I try to skirmish in it but it unbeknownst is broken in two groups and a 5,000 cavalary prempt our skirmish and attack Eastern Prussia, at the same time a now 30,000 polish army enters Lithuania and advances on Easter Prussia, I have oredered 5,000 more infantry in Kurland to be mustered.

September with our skirmish troops in Eastern Prussia now under attack we look on helplessly as now 30,000 troops move into Eastern Prussia brushing bback my reserve army to Kurland.

October after about a month delay the Poles begin a assault in eastern Prussia. My reserve army has joined with 6,000 newly musterd troops who are just learning the difference between a Halberd and a Pike. Even shaky though I have no choice as the Assault on Eastern Prussia begins I order an advance of the 8-2-1 army my only force other then my 16-0-3 army seiging the Polish capital

November 1504 with luck and good timeing my force hits the now 45,000 Poles right as their assault fails ,and REPULSES THEM BACK TO LITHUANI I debate oredering a pursuit but with the snows already on our way and the out come of hitting 45,000 shaken foes not certain we dig in in eastern Prussia, we will spend the next year skirmishing and pinning the Lithuanain force which will build to 65,000 poles,

December-May 1505 the seige of Masow continues, My allies lead by the Brandenburgs reduse the garrison in Wesern Prussian and move to Posnen we build more forces and begin to order troops to Belarussa.

Jun-August 1505 the sige of Belarusa continues, along with a siege of Posnes and Masow in late august the Teutonic Knights make peace, realeasing 20,000 poles. they claim Polosk and Tula as therer reperations.

SEPtember Masow falls my pinning armies become more active most of the troops are ordered to Belarus.

November Posnen fallst to my allies again led by Brandenburg. they begin to move into the interior of poland creating numerous small battles.

December -February 1506 I am forced to continually reinforce a winter seige in Belaruss, the garrison is close to surrendering and the poles grow stronger.

March 1506 I am flanked angain through Danzig and my pinning forces are about to be attacked when finnally Belarus falls. I can make peace. terms to poland Bellarus to Prussia, Western Prussia to Brandenburg, and 250 Ducats... accepted. The Prussians win the Second Prussian/Polish war.

In April 1507 Russia (with Denmark, Pskov, Crimea and Ryaszn) declares war on Teutonic Knights with both Pommerainia and Hanseatic leuge joining, With the French now on shore in Mecklenberg it is unlikely the Teutonic knights now threadbare after the polish war can expect help.

May we begin to position to help Partition the teutonic knights when both Belarus and Kurland go into rebelion, unfortuanately the rebellion in Bellarus included the rebellion of 10,000 troop garrison holding the province that will need to be reduced.

June we anhilate the rebels in Kurland

July we advance and besiege the rebels in Belarus it by January 1507 we have made progress but not yet reduced the garrison. It looks as livonia is about to fall, and a we are having a fierce debate in our diminished state about whether we should intervene once the rebels are reduced.

That takes us to July of 1507

on an ammusing side note in mid 1506 the Irish submit to the Scottish and pay an indemnity.... of ..... 22 ducats, I have a feeling the even the Scots could not run a 10 year war for 22 ducats, The fiesty Irish stay independent.

At 1507 then we are now spinning of 35 ducats annually and have a standing army of 14-2-3 not much

We had to make a heart rending decision in 1505 our enthusiastic citizens donated 7 Warships, but realizing we would be a land based power for some years to come, I gave them to the Church to help carry pilgrims to the holy land. If I could of only sold them I would of but no buyers and the Maintanance was 9 Ducats a year an investment we could not make, as a small empire.

At the end of 15 years then our tech in all areas except naval is competative. but as expected our prestige is minor compared to our rivals.

Presige points (Victory)

France 260 now the Power of the Continent

Spain 210 the number one owner of provinces with colonial expansion

Portugal 180 does not have the resources to expand its colonial empire enough and is slipping behind

Turkey 160 some recovery in prestige now that is is allied with France, It is sharing some of its glory

Russia 115 still has not annexed Kazan, and the Golden Horde has gained two provinces,

Prussia 100 not quite last really not to bad for a Fetal empire and better so far than

......England 55. still not recovered from the french defeat even though it has a CoT in Aglia

for 1507 do we intervene in The Teutonic -Russian war or do we build up waiting for the poles to be involved in another war.

of course by this time in the game it is likely something unexpected will occur in the next 5 years.... I just hope it does not involve the brrrrr. french brrrr

Nice aar! Maybe you should use the spell check once in a while, and begin using ",". It would really help reading it. Cool aar none the less. Im playing as Prussia, and in year 1550 or some, I got entire northen Germany and modern day Poland under my control, my BB is killing me!

Danish King--For some reason the spell check does not work, alas I am butchering the Kings English. Did you start on the most Difficult setting and did you ever go Banckrupt, I find this pretty challenging so far, but It may get easier soon if I reach critical Mass in Poland. I have been careful politically so far and have avoided annexing any Minors. With the most Difficult setting tech and a little inflation my infantry cost will soon be up to 12 and started at 10 it was most difficult to afford significant troops without bankrupcy I had the option of annexing the Teutonc Knights but there forces were small enough not to tempt me for the political cost involved.

ahh well... my report then...

We did indeed position for and intervene in the Tetonic Knights struggle. shortly there after my allie Brandenberg declared war on Poland, It turned out fine for me , My allie fights on.

THE SECOND TEUTONIC kINIGHT WAR. -- 1507-1508

This war was a simple war, the Knights advanced into Kurland I advanced into Polosk, I assuatled Polosk and it fell then advanced into Livonia I assualted that and it fell, I made peace for 60 Ducats and Polosk which leaves me not sharing a border with Russia?Pskov yet who finally conquered Kazan in 1512.. A very slow Russia

THE THIRD POLISH PRUSSIAN WAR.1511-1513

This too was a long but tactically simple war, Brandenberg Declared war, and Hanover did not join, (I pulled Hannover back in the alliance, so due to geography Brandenberg and I faced Poland)

Poland andvanced in force into eastern prussia agian at one point but on their failed assault I forced them back. other then that there main army spent the war in Posned while I slowly reduced the capital and Lithuania. Settling for peace for 50 Ducats and LIthuania. AT the Time of this writing my allie struggles on. Brandenberg has seiged Krakow and Poland is seiging Western Prussia.

OTHER DEVELOPMENTS

The Teutonic Knight Russian war continues, Pskov conguered Livonia took a 250 ducat settlement right as I intervened, and the front has been fairly quite since. Russia took some time to Conquer Kazan now that that has finished they may be back. On the other side of My kingdom Pommerainia and the Hanseatic League fight on. They have settled twice in thier war yeilding indemnities to Turkey and Savoy, but they fight on in mixed wars with various French allies, And France.

The most important development is that Frances attention has been absorbed here and two contingents of french Troops have been Annihilated, As there allies have made peace and thrown them into a sudden strategic disadvantage on the Baltic Coast. This indeed has moved Spain into the leading role again, Unless the French Hanseatic War comes to a successful conclusion Quickly Spain with its Colonial Possesions will soon become the European Boogeyman.

Spain is now fighting the Incas and has not yet beaten the Aztecs. Most of their possesions are most likely in the West Indies, There seems to be lots of sugar around.

There seems little interest in my prussia AAR if anyone want me to continue let me know.

Well my fears are justified, France for the next 15 years kept landing in Pomerainia, and Mecklenberg, and being repulsed, they will use up over 100,000 troops to no effect. and in the end settle for a small indemnity. I on the other hand come close to disaster.

THE THIRD PRUSSIAN TEUTONIC WAR.

Seeing the Tetonic order weakened and Pomerainia/Hanseatic Lead involved with the French Alliance I declar war and move into Livonia. It falls with its minimal fortifications in the initial assault. Pinning the Teutonic Knight troops with skirmishers in Weliki. Hanover did not join when I called by Allies so geographically Brandenberg fights allone, is ousted and is under seige in two places.

This lets the French and their Allies Temporarilly get ashore in the Northern Baltic. All is progressing well against the Teutonic Knights when Poland decales War. I call my allies and again Hannover will not come. Hessen has 55,000 troops just sitting in there home provence. I am pissed.

I am sudenly in extreme trouble Brandenburg has three of its four provinces under siege, and two are close to falling. although I could push the War with the Knights to a successful conclusion It would take anothe 18 months or so and Brandenberg would be crushed by then.

Reluctantly I make peace with The Teutonic Knights for 250 ducats. suddenly Brandenburg is free but I am pinning 60,000 poles and Hungarians (There new ally along with the Papal states) in Posnen so there is no where for them to go. and no help on the way....

THE FOURTH PRUSSIAN POLISH WAR.

Thinking It wise I decide to Declare war on Hannover and Hessen joins. The take there 55,000 troops and force a 165 ducat peace on Hannover within 5 months and come to try and help.

For some reason though they are cut down by the poles loosing 30,000 troops and the poles loosing 1,000 and the remaining Hessen Army will retreat to Danzig for the remainder of the war.

after several long costly battles and loosing Lithuania we settle into static postions. I pin the Poles and there allies in Posnen and Lithuania, while over the next 18 months I seige and conquer Masow and Podalski, The pinning action is costing me incredible amounts of prestige points so I make peace with recieving Podalski and my share of 110 Ducats.

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF HANNOVER.

It is now 1524 The Polish war lasting over four years. Albrecht our monarch advance with 1 25-3-4 army and takes Hannover, then advances into Olden burg puts it under siege, and is about to take it when Hannover repulsed in their capital hist Albrect and lifts the siege, it will take 2 more years to push hannover back to Oldenburg and then seige and conquer oldenburg.

In fact it became nip and tuck at several points with Albrecht great at seiges but poor at pitched battles. The home country was close to revolt at one point with my reserve 11-2-0 army trying to put down 3 simultainous rebellions.

in 1526 though Olenberg fell, and we annexed them in full. As a great blessing 21,000 troops from Hannover joined our cause doubling the size of our Army.

In 1527 then we stand in this positoin Spain the power of Europe since Frances dissapation allied with Austria is in 3 seperate conflicts.
A skirmish Vs Crimea
A small War vs. Venic and Portugal
And emeshed with the only real challenge to its power it is fighting France and Turkey

My strategic debate now is to let them fight, and either recover, or fight a German state such as Saxony starting the Unification of Germany. Or to attack with my now 40,000 army out of Hannover and into the Austrian Netherlands. There would be no way to force a peace and if sigificant Austrian/Spanish turns my way, (If France Makes peace early) I could loose the war.....

to gamble big..small... or not at all...

hehe I am a computer idiot... How do you give screenshots? Oh due to lack of response I just finished the game, You seem to be the only one that was interested, It was nipp and tuck till 1460 had some brutal wars with the Austrians, and the stuborn english got on shore against the hunseatic leage and got Bremen so they would declare war, and I could keep them offshore but I always ended up settling for a white peace after taking Bremen. The english were very weak in general so this was more a nuisance.

After 1560 I picked up the Netherlands for an allie I kept the Netherlands at +100 Brandenberg at +100 and let the rest of the world slip into dire hatred of the Hun.

took Austria Poland all of Germany all of russia into the Uzbec area and most of france before I got bored about 1700. was fun the first 50 years though.
