Uhhh... that event sequence concearning Taiwan made a shitload of sense to me. 
Am I the only one who didn't understand how the Chinese decision not to respond to Taiwan's Declaration of Independence and then forcing a brutal crackdown on opposition leads to Taiwanese government assuming that China has become a democracy and choosing to voluntarily unify with China?....
Perhaps it has something to do with mysterious Eastern soul of Chinese/Taiwanese people, which me as a sort-of westerner simply cannot understand.

Is it just me, or is the distribution of IC in the world kind of messed up? China building some factories, and coming on level with the US? Russia with so little? And if I remember correctly, North Korea with a couple of pathetic workshops?

Makes for a more realistic play. In the real world, one cannot just start setting off nukes without proper justification, and losing a total war seems like a not-so-wacky trigger for nuclear war.
Can anybody tell me the industry capacity of the countries that appear on this mod?

That they are a revolter doesn't mean that they revolt, but simply that it is possible for them to begin existing.
