Although great victories were achieved, the Sultanate was still planning to expand and liberate the rest of Sumatra from the infidels. Some years after the second war passed, and the Rajputana was attacked by the great Timurid empire, suffering defeats at the hand of Mongols. This was an excellent opportunity to attack the rajas who were fighting on two fronts, and the war was again declared on Rajputana.

At first the war was a successful one, as can be seen on the map.

West Sumatra was liberated, and the forces sent to India occupied Kutch, a rich Centre of Trade next to Gujarat. Some more victories were won later, and the most important of them was the destruction of vast Bihari and Rajputani fleets that for many decades have made the access to mainland India extremely difficult. But in this war they were annihilated completely.
However, in land battles the armies of the Sultan ran out of luck and couldn't progress fast. After several years of battles and seiges by both parties of the war in the same provinces near Gujarat the Makassari rulers decided to accept a white peace proposal from Rajputana, as the armies were weakened and the success seemed impossible this time. Still, the war was extremely successful in terms of navy. Also, most of the Makassari armies were left in Gujarat, ready to assault the infidels upon a single word of the Sultan.
