ATTN: Cakewalk Over
April 18th 1940
The Day of Dread
Cárdenas was sitting in his office discussing the Pacific campaign with Hill and White when Called stormed in with Marie.
“He’s mad, worse than loco, Uggh I can’t believe they were so stupid,” Calles was complaining to Marie.
Marie looked at Cárdenas and handed him a piece of paper. Greven set his pipe down and sat up surprised.
“His Illustrious Hitler wishes to inform us that he and the rest of the Axis have declared war on the soviets,” Cárdenas exclaimed.
Hill was trying hard not to choke on his drink.
Greven was genially surprised. He was not pleased by that thought.
These Mortals can be so unpredictable. He thought.
“It gets worse,” Calles started, “It seems that the Germans did not kick the French out of Europe. They are stuck in a stalemate in southern France. Italy is doing next to nothing. So the Russians might roll all the way to Paris.”
Greven uttered a stream of curses in many languages. Calles thought he understood parts from German, French, Arabic, Russian, English, Japanese, Latin, Italian, and still there were words he didn’t know.
Greven regained some manner of control. “I have work to do! El Presidente.” He said. Then the room went dark. A second later the darkness was gone and so was White.
Cárdenas sighed deeply. This was truly bad news. “Tell Kilgore and Zuckergußgebäck to step on it. I want Reynoso sent and Ireland in out control by June. We HAVE to get into Europe.”
Hill stammered, “There isn’t going to be enough time to take Portugal and Spain is there?”
El Basto walked in and said, “I’ll bet your thanking me now for the 20 New Infantry Divisions we’ll have in June huh?”
Cárdenas just sighed and looked at the clock. Time to turn on the radio and listen to “Lescot and Friends”
Stupid Stupid Allies. AAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHH. Oh well Bring it on.
If its just us and the Ruskies then it’ll be a Christmas world.
