Cárdenas turned off the Radio as Marie entered his office to inform him that it was time for his staff meeting.
“Were you Listening to
‘Lescot and Friends’ again,” She asked him.
He nodded sheepishly.
“I’m going to have El Basto invent something that will allow the recording of radio programs,” He muttered.
When he Arrived Kilgore, Camacho, Zuckergußgebäck, Escamilla, White, Hill, and Calles were already seated and Kilgore was in a heated argument with Calles.
“Look all I’m saying is it would have been REAL NICE to have know that enemy forces were on that hill. Lucky for us I had Zucker covering out rear or we might be facing more Colombian aggression,” Kilgore roared.
Cárdenas gently cleared his throat.
“Viva la patria,” Everyone said.
(Kinda liked the phrase Go Country, sounds like a sports cheer
)
Cárdenas looked at Calles and asked for an Intelligence briefing.
Calles checked his notes and pulled out a chart.
“As you can see on this chart our Ground Forces are the most advanced in the world,” Calles began.
“We’re the dark green. Behind us but close are Germany, the Soviets and those Yanquis on that island. Behind them are the French and bringing up the read is Japan and Italy” Calles continued.
Cárdenas smiled. Kilgore was also pleased.
“Here you can see the location of our Naval Technologies against the other great powers,” Calles continued as he flipped to another page.
“Here we are defiantly behind the times,” called started and looked at Kilgore. “That is why I have suggested that we spend more of the budget looking into the secrets of Naval Warfare. Its not as easy as SOME people think.”
“Now on this page Is where we see how we’re doing in the air research,” Calles pointed to his new page.
Walking back to the conference table Calles pulled out some other sheets.
“I have mostly acurate reports of othe Ground forces. The Soviets have about 256 Infantry Div, and 276 total. Germany has 130 Infantry, 24 Moterized and 13 Armored for about 176. The Brits have 109 total, Japan has 99. Somwhere 97 Divisions of French are hiding. Itally has 89 and then its our 60 Infantry, 3 Armored, and 12 Militia divisions for 75,” Calles read.
“See that’s why I say we should begin building new Infantry Divisions. If we’re to reclaim the homeland we’re going to need overwhealming numbers. We Need to build a Grande Army of the Republic,” Kilgore Insisted.
“All the Troops in the world won’t do anygood if can’t control the seas,” Backfire insited.
Hill stood up and offered his advice, “Sir at the rate we are going in South America It will take us about another year to control it all longer if we take on Argentina. If we are also going to Take down Ireland and Denmark we’ll need many more troops. Not to mention if we’re going to toss the caca into the fan and attack Portugal.”
Kilgore and Zuckergußgebäck nodded. “It also wouldn’t hurt to have more troops in the pacific to speed up our conquests. Remember since Germany controls Amsterdam we have to take all the Dutch territories if we want to keep them after the annex,” Zuckergußgebäck added.
Cárdenas nodded seeing the big picture. His last meeting with White had shown him that perhaps the world was big enough for the Soviets, Germany and Mexico.
As is reading his mind Camacho said, “If the Germans turn against the Soviets we HAVE to have more troops if we’re going to help them in anyway.”
“You don’t think we can just tell the Germans to slow down their War Machine,” Zuckergußgebäck asked.
Cárdenas said, "Very well let’s build as many new infantry as we can."
He stood to leave. “Viva la patria,” Everyone said.
