Open Up result: Tamius is Resistance. Which means Hazbot is a known spy.

Well that's news to me, have you looked this result over? Have you checked it for experimental error? Have you made sure to organise a number of repeat trials to verify your results? Because I've double checked and I don't seem to recall that being mentioned to me at any point in the past few weeks!

It seems to me quite clear that there's been a flaw in the way we've allowed the cards to be used, as we've allowed Tamius and Wombat to perform a circular series of checks! Why? They could easily both be spies and we're essentially taking their word that they're not! It seems to me like this is a fatal flaw in security that should never have been allowed to happen, except it has, for whatever reason!

Eugh, of course, it might not even be them, I don't even have any clue who or what I should vote for, and considering that we can't allow even a single spy on, that makes me nervous.

Ok, I'm avoiding putting Aedan, Falc, and Panzer on the team. 1) because one of team Falc and team Aedan must be spies, 2) both sides have really annoyed me, and most importantly 3) I think we can work around them.

De Chat will certainly be on the team, as well, as Hazbot must have sabotaged mission 2. Yes, I know there is a possibility of De Chat being a second dormant spy, but I find it that possibility highly remote, and in my mind De Chatillon has carried himself as a resistance member all game (albeit a new one still learning the rules). So that's 3.

So let's examine the outliers - Barkades and Jacksonian Missionary.

Barkades: The only way he could be a spy is if the spy team is Aedan/Barkades/Hazbot, according to your figures, Falc. Correct? Unfortunately, every team he approved contained one of himself, aedan, or Hazbot. So no luck there... except for the fact that chain spy rules are in effect, so he would not know one of the spies at the beginning of the game. And - this is crucial - at some point during each proposal of Mission 1, both Barkades and one of his potential spymates were not on a mission. (Aedan and Barkades were not on mission proposal 3; Hazbot and Barkades were not on mission proposals 1 and 2). Which means that at some point, if Barkades were a spy, he would have had to have approved a mission in which he thought there were no spies.

Now this might mean nothing - except for the fact that Barkades is rather obviously new to Resistance, so I don't think he'd be capable of slowplaying votes like that. So I think it's pretty clear Barkades is Resistance, and I will treat him accordingly.

Jacksonian Missionary - He took the cautious route and didn't approve any of the missions. Which is both good Resistance strategy and doesn't really tell us anything, either. So I'm leaving him off the team for exercising good and cautious play. Sorry, cousin.

So Barkades is going to be my 4th.

Didn't we know that already? I guess it's ok being really sure but I think there were better options. Aedan for instance, if he's resistance Wombat is clear and if he's not we could have a lot of answers.

We didn't "know" that, but it should have been perfectly clear to all discerning minds. Especially after Falc played the KACEOY on me - in secret, no less - and found I didn't sabotage Mission 2.

Listen, wombat. The possibilities of aedan not being a spy are pretty much nil even from an outside observer point of view.

This may be the last mission and I'd rather you selected people based on actual play rather than personal preference. Falc and I are very likely resistance members, and you're keeping us off just because "we're annoying"? Falc has been extremely helpful and put a *lot* of effort in, so I have no idea what you're talking about. We don't have werewolf's rules against metagaming, but this is still a very poor show.

I really don't see why you consider yourself clear just because a spy said you were. If anything that should put MORE suspicion on you. You've played entirely how you want to disregarding every one's advice and that's weird for a resistance member. Yes, I know it's nice to just take power at times, but when you do you damn well better succeed at it, and so far you haven't.

The problem, of course, is that even as a spy it shouldn't matter who you have with you on your team. But I don't know, maybe you're trying to discredit us or something. At least it would explain the whole "you're a spy unless you open up to me", distributing the OC in an unoptimal way, and tamius checking you rather than aedan.

No, I kept you off because I don't trust either you, Falc, or aedan. Falc's reaction at my OC card distribution - before tamius had even chosen how to distribute that particular card - was bizarre; his insistence that aedan NOT be chosen for the team was also bizarre. That said, I recognize that Falc put in a lot of work - his first post listing the possible spy teams was incredibly helpful.

And I damn well did select people on actual play, not pique, if you had bothered to read my post explaining the logic behind my team proposal. I am 100% sure of tamius, 90-95% sure of Barkades, and 75% sure of De Chat being Resistance. Also, I enjoy the potential irony of a Spy Aedan being forced to approve a team that is clear, if I am correct - he is locked in to saying that Falc/Hazbot/Panzer Commader are spies.

As for distributing the OC in a non-optimal way, 1) tamius ignored my instructions, thanks to Falc's pleading - if he had not, either two spies would have been revealed - or the aedan/Falc/Panzer deadlock which has been hanging over us the whole game and which has literally affected every decision made this whole game would have been broken. 2) Exactly what other method of distribution of the OC would have been successful? You keep saying that I distributed cards in a non-optimal way - what method could have possibly given us a clear team? I'm sorry, but there wasn't one.

Before I vote (which will be done via PM) I want to know how confident @deathbywombat is that I'm resistance. This team rubs me the wrong way with almost certain spy Aedan approving this team, and I'm not surprised that Hazbot rejected, I'm sure he is a spy too. So those 2 off are good. I'm still really conflicted that I'm not on this team, and still not entirely convinced of De Chat. So I'll be

Yeah, De Chat is the sticky wicket here. I'm reasonably sure of Barkades being a villager - it helps immensely that Aedan and Panzer were both throwing suspicion his way, so at least one spy was trying to have him ignored, and his voting record, like Hazbot's in game 51, does check out. But looking over the votes, a De Chat - Hazbot - aedan spy team does seem to work, with the spy chain being De Chatillon knows aedan, Aedan knows Hazbot, Hazbot knows de Chatillon, as De Chatillon voted for mission proposals 1 and 2 with aedan on the team, but didn't vote to approve mission proposal 3. Also might explain his willingness to trust me after aedan scanned me.

In order of the 6 players I don't know the allegiance of for certain, highest likelihood of being Resistance to lowest:

Barkades - 95% certainty.
De Chatillon- 75% certainty. Didn't sabotage mission 2, as ITS revealed. However, possibility of being a second dormant spy exists. I'm honestly not sure if he even knows the rules for spies being able not to sabotage though, as this is his first time playing.
Jacksonian Missionary - 70% certainty - Has done nothing wrong this game, but really hasn't done anything right, either. Blank slate, but only possible spy team is Aedan/Hazbot/Jackson.
Falc/Panzer - I treat both as equal, 55% certainty. Remember than either one could still easily be spymates with aedan and Hazbot, as well as each other's spymates. If pressed, I'd be more likely to go with Falc than Panzer.
Aedan - 50% certainty - Should be lower, but the Falc freakout tripped my radar - he really didn't want tamius to scan aedan.

Seriously? I happily offer myself to be scanned by someone you know to be resistance, and argue with Falc when he opposes that, and you still refuse to trust me? I don't need to be on a team for us to win, but this is getting absurd with how much you people are absolutely refusing to trust me when there is no clear reason to distrust me over Falc and Panzer. Sure "there are more possibilities", but 10 possibilities that have a 1% chance each are worth less than a single possibility with a 90% chance.

Look, I explained why tamius checking Aedan was less than optimal. If tamius says Aedan's a spy, then the ONLY thing we know for certain is that Aedan's a spy. The rest remains uncertain. If tamius says Aedan is resistance, we end up with 3 cleared people and the 6 others perfectly split between two possible spy teams.

I don't know about you all, but neither of those seemed useful. We don't need to put Aedan on any mission anyway and the other option would be a coin toss.

By the other way, my team is going to be the same that wombat's so a rejection to this team is going to be the rejection of two teams. The next one is Hazbot who is an almost certain spy, next barkrades who I think it's going to propose sort of the same team again and the last one Falc who is very suspicious and accept his team will be mandatory. So I think that reject wombat's team is clearly a mistake for resistance members.

Trying to force us to accept always the last team as you are doing all this game is what isn't resistance at all. And of course my behaviour is resistance if I think this is a good team and the others can be wrong. If you prefer waiting until Falc's last proposal, you can't expect me agreeing with that

I'm not doing that, but I'm not thrilled when I'm left off missions and you go around approving willy nilly. That's not the point though, because with your post, it comes off as you intimidating us into accepting this which I'm getting bad vibes about.
