Because Ironhide G1 will distribute cards if this is approved. And that would spell disaster. If he is Resistance, he will distribute cards in a manner most beneficial to the Spies, and if he is a Spy then he will distribute cards in a manner most beneficial to the Spies. It is a lose-lose scenario.

If we reject this team, we can demand that Ironhide G1 or aedan777 re-propose this same team. They are under no obligation to do so (although they lose credibility if they refuse to do so); ultimately, the fifth proposal belongs to Jerman TK, and I imagine he will re-propose this team.

Yes, I recall that he asked for advice before distributing cards last game. And then proceeded to disregard that advice and give the cards to Spies anyway. That is why I called him the Leeroy Jenkins of Resistance, a moniker that he evidently wears proudly. And besides, why do we trust him to take your advice? We have no way of knowing whether you are a Spy or not.

I agree with Ironhead, but not because Ironhide is untrustable, but because he is a likely spy. Not because of anything he's done, but if we assume the four players on the current team are resistance, I know I'm resistance, so only 1 other resistance member remains. I'm rather unwilling to make a bet that Ironhide is the last resistance member at this time. I'd rather distribute the cards myself, or if that's not acceptable to others, I'll propose this same mission so Jerman can distribute cards.

If anyone's wondering about my approval in-thread, (apparently not, but I'll put this down anyway) I conflated the team that was proposed twice and the one that was actually successful. Once I had realised my mistake I changed my vote in PM, but didn't post anything, in the hope of enticing spies to do something rash. I don't think it worked.

This was the team I was looking for.

Results of Mission 2
Feeling confident, the assorted KGB assassins proposed the same members as last time, with one addition. 4 people would be needed to override the alarm, which was centered at 4 different locations around the house. JermanTK was added to the original team, and everyone swiftly proceeded to the alarm locations.
The spies worked quickly to disable the alarm. But all their efforts were for naught, as seconds before the alarm was silenced, [REDACTED] punched in a wrong code. An accident? Impossible - everyone was too well trained for this mistake to be the result of mere human error. A silent alarm was immediately triggered, and the spies knew that the CIA had been alerted and would be coming in force in just a few minutes. Perhaps this mission wasn't going to be so easy, after all.
Mission 2 was sabotaged once.

Mission 3: Escape the Trap!

Knowing time is of the essence, you kick open the door, disregarding the blinking alarm. You still have at least five minutes to get in, assassinate Mike West, and get out clean.
Unfortunately for you, as soon as you all enter, the door closes and locks behind you and the room starts to fill with gas. Sleeping agent! The stolen blueprints to the house didn't tell you that the entrance was booby-trapped - must be a later addition! You now have to identify where the gas is coming from and counter the sleeping agent - or else be incapacitated.
