Cliges is 100% guaranteed to be spy. Even if Falc is also a spy, Falc had no reason to choose a Resistance member as his partner for the 1st mission; he had much more to gain by choosing a fellow spy, especially since we had no choice but to accept his proposal.

Except that spies tend not to choose each other even though coordinating a sabotage should be a relatively easy task. The reward for two-spy teams is much greater, but there's a risk associated with it that most spies are unwilling to take, in my experience. Still a possibility, but Falc and Cliges both tend to be pretty cautious players.

You've forgotten that Cliges, the Spy, has the Take Responsability. So just assume he holds the No Confidence.

Forgot that was still in play. I recommend getting rid of it ASAP. Not sure why that didn't happen already.

Ironhead's proposal(Ironhead/Madchemist/Daffius) was rejected 4-3:

Yay: Ironhead-Daffius-Madchemist
Nay: Tamius-Aedan-Cliges-Falc
Why would both Cliges & Falc reject this?

At least one of the two is a Spy, right? And with the three team members all approving, all it takes is one of the reject votes to change, and the team does the mission.

They know that I will be on a team regardless. So if the next mission is sabotaged, they know they only have two players to blame it on. So regardless of the odds, they are going to want a spy on the next team. If either Daffius or madchemist were a Spy, why didn't Falc/Cliges (or both) secretly approve so as to make the mission fail?

tamius23, I recommend proposing the exact same team.

Other option: you managed to pick the two Spies besides Cliges, leaving Cliges safe to reject it.

I consider this the more likely outcome. Both Cliges and Falc being spies is highly unlikely due to the first round proposals.

No, that is even more reason for Cliges to accept it!

And how devastating would it be if they were both spies, and both supported the mission? There is no way we could ferret them out before the 5th mission. They would both be on mission 4, sabotaging it, and then we would waste time debating which of the two was a Spy for mission 5. We would not figure it out. So if they were both spies, then Cliges would support it.

And besides, my point is that even if I am incorrect about Falc being a spy, then that doesn't change the fact that Cliges is a spy; and Cliges did not support it. Ergo, the spies did not want that team to proceed. Ergo, we should propose that team again.

You're confusing me. Given mission 2, why on Earth would I accept any teams with you and/or Falc on them, with the possible exception of perhaps taking a chance on the mission 4 team?

You do remember that in the previous 2 proposals, Cliges also rejected IH/Falc/Madchemist and IH/Falc/Tamius? Now, alright, the second one had many public rejections, but the first oen didn't, it was 3-4 like this one.

So following your own logic, the Spies did not want IH/Falc/MC AND they did not want IH/MC/D.

So those are your 4 resistance players then? IH + MC + Daffius + me?

tamius23, I recommend proposing the exact same team.

No, I don't think I will. I really don't trust madchemist and the way I've been handling the last couple of pages I don't want to choose between Falc and Cliges now. Until recently I'd've said Cliges was acting like a defeated spy but I'm not so sure any more. I'm going to have one of the untested players on my proposal, I think.

I'd pick aedan, because he's going to win this game whatever happens and I hope that I'm on his side but I trust Daffius more. He's been acting just like a new resistance player.

Although sadly the team might not come to be, so this may just be a formality.

But what do you think?

I could rescind the NC, if allowed. I really don't believe that both Ironhead and Falc could be Spies, but if it's one of the two, it would have to be Falc. It would be win-win, since he could be honest about Ironhead, regardless of his own affiliation. That buys credibility by being honest about Ironhead, but avoids some measure of risk in the (doubtful) event that they're both Spies.

I'd take an Ironhead only team with some hesitation, but there's no way I'd have both on a team-I know already that it would be bound to fail.

It's allowed. An NC is never played until a team is approved. Speaking of which, we might want to change that, but that's a discussion for another day and another thread.

I wish I shared your confidence in my victory, but I'm just a simple resistance member, and while I'm fairly sure madchemist and Cliges are spies, I'm not sure, particularly about the third spy. I still don't like the team lacking me, but with an NC in Cliges' hand, rejecting this team is simply too dangerous to allow.
