I'm not whining, I'm curious why you remove the possibility that you might change your mind, even though you say you need time to think. It just strikes me as insincere, and you don't really want to think about this team, you want to reject it without looking obvious. Maybe I'm being optimistic, though.

I thought about it some more. If Cliges and Arkasas are traitors, we win this round. If we are wrong, then we lose. We have a better chance if only one of four of the following:

Panzer/marty Cliges/Arkasas

are on. But whom should we appoint?

This is based on someone else's earlier conjecture.

Put me and Panzer in (I'm not actually certain Panzer is resistance, or indeed that Cliges is a spy, but they're both likely). If the mission is double sabotaged, and no cards are forthcoming that can clear our names, don't put either of us in the fifth mission team, and replace us with Cliges and Arkasas.

I'm not sure this team doesn't have two spies on it, but I AM willing to bet the game on it.

Its really one groups word against the others, I'm afraid. You guys have cards claiming one thing, and Arkasas/Cliges claim something else. If I had to choose, it would be either you or Panzer, by a slight margin.

Based on actions, I think marty is a likely resistance member. Panzer and alphabet are possible spies if Cliges isn't. Arkasas is a confirmed spy in my eyes. If I were to put up my team again, I might switch out panzer or alphabet for Falc, but other than that I'm pretty certain both will work.

But there is other things to consider:

Resistance members will always say that spies are spies. However:
Spies do not always say resistance members are spies. If me and Panzer were/are spies, we had the choice to tell the truth anyway and say Arkasas/Cliges were resistance, because sometimes that can be the right strategy. The fact that there is a less than 100% chance of us automatically saying they're spies when we are spies, lessens our odds.
On the other hand, Cliges and Arkasas have no choice but to say that we must be spies, because that is the only option they have other than forfeiting. Statistically, me and Panzer are more likely here.

I'm inclined to putting 1 of marty or Panzer, but just wondering, how bad would it be (statistics, give me statistics) if I put say Cliges and Panzer on the same team. I know there is a chance of the third member of the spies being in there to sabotage, but how large is it?

I'm a certain spy? I'd try to talk you out of it, but I have neither the time nor the energy.
