The Republic of Jerusalem ...

Soo im playing a republic game started as a patrician in Pisa, eventually i declared independence and formed my own republic of Naples.
I just wanted to play small, spread my dynasty around and place them upon higher thrones, and get the survivor achievement, then export to EU4 for abit of fun, well i ended up winning the first crusade for Jerusalem, no problem ill just give the kingdom to a relative,,,except i cant, and now im stuck with this "republic of Jerusalem title.

Soo how do i give up this kingdom title of Jerusalem?

i find it very weird that the pope would give this holy title to a bunch of merchants, i like to roleplay my games and keep things realistic.

Try typing give_title k_jerusalem [ID] in the console. It works even if you can't grant the title manually.

I say don't worry about giving it up. What i'd say is just try to live with the new holdings for now.. you could if you really want to lose it always land a super Duke in the area.. grant him independence and see if he usurps it.. personally though i think i'd just use it as my families personal "estate" and occasionally let myself lose an election every now and then.. controlling trade around the levant is actually one of my favorite tacts because of the wealth in the region. still if you want to lose it.. let it be usurped or won by a claiment.. tis the only way

Is that your only kingdom title? You might need to make a new one first. Because republics require a title higher than count to exist, it might not allow you to give away your primary title.

If you really don't want it and don't want to grow, give all the land to one duke. Make sure you give that duke two duchies. Then try to kill him until he finds out so he hates you real good, and then wait for him to demand independance via faction.

Once free, mail him lots of money til he usurps your title. Make sure hes not on your council or that you don't have a non-agression pact with them or he might not be able to form factions via mechanics.

update:

i decided id just roll with it, i figured that since my character was a devout catholic and had been buttering up the church (trying to get my brothers and cousins elected pope) that the pope deemed my republic worthy in gods eye of bringing trade wealth and Christianity to the holy land.

AHHH Beautiful idea, i dont think rpeublics can give land away though i tried that with my kin didnt work
