Humans from another galaxy. The plot thickens.

Definitely! :)

Ah, so the new humans are from another galaxy. Their cube tech sounds awfully useful.

Their cube tech will be what makes them relevant in this story. :p

They na, be able to keep a small cooony hidden, but wether that will work in te e long run, im not so sure. Eventuaply someone will setect them i guess.

They will have their chance to shine later on. We'll stick with the Soviets for now. :)

Chapter 58

Qyit was in the middle of explaining what the Cybrex artifacts did when one of his subordinates entered the room. He excused himself to receive the message and nodded a few times before returning his attention to the Soviets. He asked them to look towards the large screen on the wall where they would be seeing a battle take place. Qyit explained the battle was against those who sent the four corvettes after the Nobel.

The screen turned on and there was a relatively large space station orbiting an asteroid. Corvettes were soon deployed from the space station and they were sent directly at the ship that was sending the video of the battle back to the Pelx-Cradonian home planet. The video abruptly changed from the space station to the incoming corvettes as the engagement was well underway.

There were dogfights between the corvettes of both sides but the attacking side was winning purely with its numerical advantage. The defending corvettes were soon all shot down leaving the enemy space station vulnerable. However, the space station was also armed with weapons so those in the station were still trying to resist. What they didn't count on was a missile fired directly at the space station which basically shut down all power modules.

Without power, those inside were helpless but, instead of destroying the space station, everyone could see Pelx soldiers entering the station as though they were trying to capture it. The video never did reveal what happened inside but the station was soon under friendly control. The hanger of the station opened allowing the lone ship with the video feed to enter inside revealing the interior of the station.

A few minutes passed before a number of Pelx soldiers arrived with what seemed like computers and paper documents. These were taken aboard the corvette which left the station as soon as its precious cargoes were secured. Meanwhile, another Pelx entered the room and Qyit introduced the newcomer as Qutrok, the elected leader of the Pelx-Cradonian Coalition and a member of the alliance formed to fight the scourge.

Nice learning a little more of the political landscape in the galaxy. Still, the Soviets know very little about what's going on, and the information they're getting is obviously biased so far. For all we know, the Pelx-Cradonian Coalition could be lying.

These are questions which may or may not be answered in this AAR. :p

Chapter 59

Apparently, there were some translation issues earlier when Qyit first introduced himself. He was the Soviet equivalent of the supreme commander for the Pelx and was in command of the entire Pelx military. Qutrok was the elected leader who dealt with civilian issues and diplomacy so the two of them were essentially similar rank in the Pelx-Cradonian Coalition with very different duties to perform for the greater good of the civilization.

Qutrok was merely using this opportunity to meet with the Soviets so he knew better how to engage diplomacy. He would eventually need to speak withe Mikhail, the overlord of the Soviet Republic, but he wanted to get a better idea of what the Soviets were like since they were considered alien to the Pelx civilization. After a brief talk about the structure of the Soviet government, Qutrok excused himself claiming he had other matters to attend to.

Following the brief meeting with the elected Pelx leader, the team of Soviets was notified about the information acquired from the enemy computers and paper documents. As soon as the information was taken aboard the corvette, their content were immediately sent back to the Felx homeworld where the brightest Pelx minds went to work deciphering what was hidden and uncover any intelligence vital to their cause.

Certain bits of the information made little sense to the Pelx but, upon seeing them, the Soviets were terribly worried. The content made mentions of the Third Reich and how the birth of the Fourth Reich was at hand. There weren't a lot of information about the Fourth Reich from what was taken from the space station but the Soviets, after what happened in the Second World War, didn't look forward to another fight against their biggest enemy second only to the Americans.

Qyit asked them about this Reich after seeing their worried expression. Marc gave him a general summary of what the Third Reich was and the atrocities it committed. Once he heard the entire summary, Qyit promised to send his forces to eliminate the last remnants of the Fourth Reich at once. He claimed that the galaxy didn't need such an evil race roaming her star systems bringing suffering and destruction in its wake.

Chapter 60

Officer Klaus sat in front of his computer as he hacked into a network of the Pelx-Cradonian Coalition. It wasn't an easy task but Klaus wasn't your average human after the numerous enhancements that were done to him. His goal for this night was to gather as much as he could without alerting the network defenses of his presence. He needed to keep his location a secret.

Everyone else in the facility was asleep while he worked tirelessly to accomplish the task given to him by his superiors. There were only half a dozen men and women in the facility and they were some of the brightest minds within the Fourth Reich. They worked separately from the others since they possessed enough classified information to bring about the downfall of the Fourth Reich.

After the attack on the space station by the small Pelx fleet, it was more imperative for Klaus to work quickly before it was too late. His facility might be well hidden but it was only a matter of time before the Pelx discovered their location. With what they acquired from the space station, the Pelx certainly had the intelligence they needed to locate all the major space installations for the Fourth Reich.

Typing away at his computer, Klause still remained alert ready to react to any noise. He was raised to be cautious since danger always seemed to be around the corner wherever he went. He still remembered the Battle of Berlin when everything went wrong. Klaus lost contact with his close friends and was forced to fight for his very own survival until his fortunate escape from Earth itself.

Since then, he had been a part of the remnants of the Third Reich until some assistance from aliens saw the birth of the Fourth Reich. Klaus became a computer expert and could hack into any network with sufficient time. Yet, the man himself kept his accomplishments mostly to himself as he didn't seek any glory. There was a mission given to him that he had yet to accomplish over the decades.

Chapter 61

After digging around for several minutes, Klaus stopped to read a translated document. Once he was finished, he closed his eyes to listen to his surroundings. He didn't want anyone to be awake when he printed out this important document to avoid answering questions. When he heard only the snoring of others in the next room, Klaus quickly printed out the paper and stuffed it into his uniform.

He then returned to digging deeper but, when he suspected he might trigger one of the security defenses, he gave up and decided it was time to end the day. As he stood up, he noticed a pair of eyes staring through the doorway. He shook his head knowing that exhaustion had really dulled his senses or he wouldn't be caught so unaware. He walked over to the person who was offering him a warm smile.

Katarina waited at the doorway and asked him why he was working so hard. Klaus explained that, following the Pelx attack on their outpost, he needed to find ways to combat the aliens. She came over and kissed him on the cheeks. After telling him to not work so hard, Katarina returned to her room. Klaus could feel himself blushing a bit but he kept his feelings for Katarina a secret.

Returning to his bed, Klaus first checked if the paper was still in his uniform. Once he confirmed it was there, he fell asleep and didn't wake up until ten hours later. During his sleep, Klaus had a dream about his past during the Battle of Berlin. He recalled the horrific conditions that he was fighting in as they fought a losing battle against the incoming Soviet soldiers.

He and a number of other German soldiers were in a building trying to hold the enemy at a choke point. They had a machine gun and a few rifles between them but ammo was low and supplies was practically nonexistent. The Soviets continued to throw wave after wave of men towards them so, once their ammo ran out, their time on Earth should be it. Klaus was taking a short break before the enemy launched another assault.

Of course the Nazis would be the ones to make full use of genetic enhancements. Sounds right up their ally.

Those aliens are in for some trouble. I imagine the Reich's love for racial purity does not bode well for inter-species relations. :D

Ah, some backstory for Klaus and his friends. I wonder if they'll be at all sympathetic.

The Fourth Reich might have some interesting backstory and development. :p

Of course the Nazis would be the ones to make full use of genetic enhancements. Sounds right up their ally.

Those aliens are in for some trouble. I imagine the Reich's love for racial purity does not bode well for inter-species relations. :D

The relations between the Reich and the Pelx is pretty extraordinary. :p

Thank you and welcome! :)

Chapter 62

The young woman slept for several hours in her vehicle as soon as she finished her tasks. She was used to the pace of the job having been part of the organization for nearly a decade. There had been highs and lows during her time with the organization with the lowest being the day she learned her fiancee had gone MIA. The most frustrating part was how she was powerless to get him back.

Previously, the two of them were inseparable as they went to the same mission covering each other's back. Then, they were separate when their expertise were needed at different locations. While reluctant, they saw the bigger picture and were willing to make the sacrifice. When the young woman said goodbye, she hadn't expected the goodbye to be a permanent one until she heard the news.

As soon as she returned from her mission, the young woman went to ask about the progress of her fiancee's mission. When she arrived at the headquarters main office, her father told her that her fiancee's equipment was malfunctioning and there were gunshots before they lost their transmission. Whatever happened there, they had to assume the worst despite labeling him as MIA.

Since that day, the young woman always carried the picture of her fiancee everywhere she went. She vowed to never marry again considering that she only had one man she truly loved. Waking up from her sleep, the young woman opened her backpack to retrieve the picture she carried with her. Having cried so many times in the past, she no longer shed tears upon seeing the picture anymore.

After staring at the picture for a full minute, the young woman put it back into her backpack before she turned the ignition of her vehicle. She took one last look at the manufacturing facility she helped place in the open. The cube had fully unpacked with the facility well underway in its production. The young woman took a deep breath as she began her drive back to the ship.

Well, I have to imagine her fiance got kidnapped by aliens.

Certainly a possibility in this story. Might be an observatory from one of the aliens. :p

Not too far out, I guess. But I want more Klaus backstory!:p

Klaus' backstory will have to wait. :p

Chapter 63

All the Soviets were invited to a section of the spaceport where they could get some rest and food after their close escape from doom following the pursuit of the Fourth Reich ships. Their Nobel was taken by the Pelx who would be repairing the ship so they could later return to Earth to share what they discovered. With no one having any expertise in repairing ships, they allowed the Pelx to do what was necessary to get them home.

The Soviets all ate and took a quick shower before they went straight to bed. Everyone fell asleep almost instantly with them dreaming about various things. Akilina still held onto her artifact unwilling to let it leave her side. As she fell into a deep sleep, Akilina suddenly found herself plunging into darkness with seemingly no end to her ordeal until she finally saw light at the end of the tunnel.

She was blinded temporarily but her eyes soon adjusted to the brightness of her new environment. At first, Akilina wondered why she was having such a weird dream. Yet, her instincts soon told her that this was not a dream and was instead a vision. She found herself on a largely uninhabited planet and the location seemed awfully quiet. Akilina decided to explore a bit to find out the meaning behind this planet.

After walking for what must be hours, Akilina found herself arriving outside what appeared to be a city. She wasn't tired one bit from walking the long distance confirming her hunch about nothing around her being real at the moment. She took a walk around the outer perimeter until she arrived at a doorway. The gate was left open which seemed odd even it this was a vision. She entered through it without any hesitation.

The scene before her matched the holograms she and the crew aboard the Nobel saw from the alien artifacts. There were factories near her location that were operating right as she watched them. What they produced remained a mystery since Akilina couldn't find a way into them and walking through walls wasn't something she had access to in her supposed vision. With no entry, Akilina proceeded to explore the rest of the city.
