An excellent and well played chapter , Mr. Woodhouse ! The twists were definitely plentiful in this one ! Mmnn Silent Rooms . SO TASTY . And Cutler-Becket was absolutely genius . I could completely see his demeanor and style perfectly in my head XD !

Glad to see Piers still alive. I do hope he and Jeanne manage to meet again, now that Jeanne's opinion about Piers has changed a bit. Cutler-Becket reminds me of someone I knew in real life, so I can easily visualise his personality! Superb update, this one is my favourite so far.

I can't see the post you made with the list of kings in the browser I normally use (Camino) for some reason, unless I copy and paste it into a text editor. I can see the text when I read your AAR in Safari, though.

Well that was a risky way to ship Piers out with Jeanne but glad to see it, surely. Not sure where all the silent room stuff really plays into since I don't recall you mentioning it before, but a neat crossover with canonized.

There isn't anymore, the last Capet King only had daughters, these were both married to King Henry III, the last "real" King of France was Alphonse I and was the Woodhouse half brother to Bevan II who took the crown after Alphonse's early death at 17.

I recommend you read the Raymond E Fiest series' they involve a similar plot where young rough men that made a mistake were "hung" and then became a secret police force for the King.

Thanks for clearing that up. I read the CK portion, but there are plenty of pages between there and here. So it looks like any new France may very well be a Republic then, eh?
