The US stok market crash was cruitial becuase it also triggered a colapse in credit and forclosure (SP?) of Ameircan loads to Europe. This is what triggered the depression, the roaring 20's had been sustained in part by (speculative inmho) Ameircan lending. This is what lead to the depression, the Tarriffs were only a result of the global depression.
