Is it WAD that I can disinherit my heir in a queen-regency?
I just played as Austria, had a regency, and my queen was a 5/5/6 while my heir was 3/4/4, so when I saw the disinherit button I thought I give it a try, and now I have another dynasity and a proper queen.

I'd bug report it then, as I doubt this is WAD. I thought you couldn't disinherit an heir while in regency.

I've had it happen before. If the heir dies, the current Consort-Regent takes control.

Dynasty switching is almost pathetically easy now.

I've only had the Queen take power during an insanity of the monarch event. I went from Henry York to Queen Magaret Anjou, disinheriting Henry Tudor

I think I saved before I tryed, will look for the save in the afternoon. Have you tryed staging it as the emperor?

Seems like I stumbled onto some strange fringe-case bug. I thought I had saved before I tried dinheriting but this save seems to be gone and I wasn't able to replicate right know. I have some proof though that I'm not pulling things out my ****.

Spoiler: Pictures

In the first picture you can see glorious Caterina Visconti ruling over Austria. The name is a giveaway that she was married away from Milan. You can also see that she has an heir, who IS of age and a Habsburg. He was only born after I disinherited.
In the second picture you can see how Catarina supposedly ruled since she was married in the month after game's start which is not possible because more than fifthteen years have gone by.
Mod-wise im running only:
50 loading screens mod
Colonial CB Restoration (My own mod, but it only changes 00_cb_types.txt)
East asian advisor portrait mod
tbarw extra: darker water

I could swear I made made a save before I tried, but it's just not there.
Anyway here's the only save I got left of this game, and I don't think it will be of much help, sadly.

Could you bring up a confirmation box to disinherit, let ruler die, then use it?

In principle one might leave that box open quite a while...

Queen Margaret of Anjou is not considered a consort I think, but a "real monarch". Therefore, it's possible to disinherit heirs as there is no consort regency according the game.

Just tossing in my 2 cents here but i believe i saw the same when playing korea yesterday. I has a queen regent for 15 years and had tbe option to disinherit the heir (i didnt because he waa decent ) the only thing of note was the Heir had a weak claim so maybe thats it?

I believe there's an event if you have a really bad heir and an excellent queen that allows the queen to take the throne (and the bad heir to be disposed of)

Can't abdicate / dishinerit during pending events unfortunately, presumably to avoid people dodging heir kills

I'm proposing bringing up the dialog box in advance, then hitting accept after regency fires. You wouldn't need to have an event pending.

Could it possibly have something to do with the fact that Milan tends to switch from a monarchy to an Ambrosian Republic pretty quickly at game start?
