Not quite Passeportout. A platypus in "Zild" would be as common as a Swede with a suntan. And a platypus is a monotreme, not a mammal. There is one important difference, see if you can find out what it is.

The first specimen from Oz arrived in London in 1797, when first examined by English naturalists they beleived it was a fake, sewn together from parts of duck, beaver and other animals. Only problem was that they couldn't find the stitches ... a paradox in itself...

Monotremes can lay eggs. I couldn't remember wheher or not it lived in Zild, so I said it did. Both my mistakes, due to a long time of not studying the creature. If I had thought a bit more, I would have remembered those two mistakes.
