Hi to all

Well, I've finally burned out on EU2. The wife hates me, the pets don't know me, and the kids ignore me (THAT hasn't changed:p )
So, I was checking out the scenarios and I noticed that EU has the ones I would be intrested in. Mainly BYZ. I gave my EU to a friend (trying to build a fan base!:D ) but I can get another on E-bay. Where am I going with this? I'm just confessing my sins! But I'm Reformed:cool: ! Anyway, I've read Zalman's Excellent AAR and I'm remember how it was when I first played. I've played all of the EU2 mods, EEP, MKJ- AGC, basic and if you survive the first 20-50 years it turned into a cakewalk. It's not the mods. They are GREAT! But I think that the sliders give a human a large advantage against the AI. They are a great thing if you are playing MP but I'm not at that level.

(On bended knee)
First, I am humbly requesting to enter the exclusive clan of EU once again. I was deceived by the niffty bells, whistles, and sliders of EU 2. Don't forget that great EU 2 manual:D!
Second, can anyone tell me about the BYZ scenario, is it hard?
Third, I hereby promise to talk (shudder) to the wife, pet the cats (I am a dog person), and try to have kids(so I can yell at them!).
Fourth, I will go forth to E-Bay and quick buy EU. That will be my penance. Eer, that would cost money and that involves the wife and like, she does't appreciate the quality time I spend with the computer and I forsee a big Deal coming so maybe I'll talk to Chad and tell him I LENT the game to him. Yeah thats it!

My thanks to everyone who still keeps EU going.
I know nothing about creating scenarios, etc, but if you need somone to post something of no importance, I'm your man!

This forum seems to be a kinder, gentilesse, place.

Anyway, I've read Zalman's Excellent AAR and I'm remember how it was when I first played.

I'm flattered  . And to think that I was planning on quitting that AAR and starting a hands-off one. Thanks for keeping me insipired and pumped and I'm glad that the EU-faithful population has increased :D ! Byzantium is great to play as in IGC. It's fun but I am definately not looking forward to the Ottoman Empire in the 1540's. That's there most powerful time from what I have heard. It's going to be insane and I am going to try to get to that point where I get crushed back down to just Thrace, which I am sure will happen. Oh well, nice to see someone coming back.

Zalman, I think thats the attraction that BYZ has for some people. A doomed empire. Building up a fair sized country with a mortal enemy next door and they want to smash you as soon as they can. They must destroy you to expand. Running around trying to beat a OE AI thats not as smart but has more men, higher morale, etc. Trying to use hit and run tactics to keep the peace % at a level where you only lose so much. Watching your empire being whittled away, an empire which you started at 1-2 prov, built thru blood, sweat and tears, knowing that you are doomed, counting down til the next war and hearing the "sound of inevitably" not like Austria, where you receive free 20+ prov, assured of the end game, and having to give a prov or two away for peace is no big deal, excepting the VP total.
Now thats a game!
Sorry, EU2 content included.
Man, do I need a life or what?
Like the one EU reveiwer said "Electronic crack!":D

Yoghurt, I checked out your scenarios and I can't wait to play! Medieval GC, the orders of the knights, Kingdom of Jerusalem are priorities! In six months or so I'll turn the tables and try Khan, Prophet, and The Pope!
Thanks for making these scenarios. I would try to make one myself but my computer knowledge consists of turn on, left click, right click, double click, turn off.:D

I enjoy EU2 alot more, and I've spent more hours with it than EU1. :)

Nevertheless, EU1 produced the classic discussions on this board. Ah, the memories. *sniff*

Finally got my EU game back from Chad. Inserted cd, loaded game, looked at the pretty picture (and wondering how that ship got around that stone bridge!) watching the long, slender, green bar ( instead of that short chunky thing!) until the sweetest 60 second song started playing, knowing that I'll be hearing that song over the next 2-4 hours:) You gotta admit that the music and load-up screen is much better w/ EU than EU 2.
I could list my problems w/EU 2 but SHH... hear that? The beautiful music is playing again! AHHHHH!!!!!
:) :) :) :)
