I kept forgetting that there wasn't originally MEANT to be 3 parties, that the SNP's introduction unbalanced things and that you (BBB) favored the rebalancing out of circumstances by consolidating the remaining Democrats with the Whigs, despite friction.
Funny that out of a moderately pro-slavery Democratic party and a strongly abolitionist Whig party, one poster's rogue creation of a party for their specific views is forcing everyone else to mute their positions and glom together in order to maintain a symmetry that they didn't violate in the first place.
Not to be controversial, but considering Projekt didn't even ask first, is it really fair to prevent an abolitionist from running in the presidential election? If Caesar and King decided to merge support and put up King, they'd have a shot - and it just seems unfair that a fantasy slaveocratic party with a cool militia and all sorts of other stuff without your permission were allowed after the fact, but everyone else is being preemptively forced into one party to maintain the two party system.
If anyone has learned anything from this, it would be that they shouldn't ask for permission and should instead just do whatever they want and ask you for forgiveness later, as Projekt did; which is not something I think anyone wants, especiall you, for your AAR.
It just seems kind of crazy that Projekt got to have his way while Omega's presidential agenda was changed after the fact and what was supposed to be a voluntary national union is becoming compulsory.
