Like it says on the tin, I'm gonna open a can of unmitigated praise on the forums. Why? -Well, I thought it might make an interesting change of pace.
In this thread, one shall say- only, and without exception- positive, uplifting, supportive things about the course of the sequel's development, (and indeed life, the-universe-and-everything-in-general.)

Like so:
1. I am glad that majesty's economic model has been revised to allow for faster resolution in multiplayer.
2. I should be pleased as punch to see heroes wooing barmaids.
3. I am glad that heroes will now work together effectively in parties. The idea of fellowships also has great potential.
4. The greater diversity of reward flags should prove a useful tool.
5. I quite like the new female Rogue screenshot, as it suggests actual burglary as a feature of gameplay.
6. I am glad that skeletons without mohawks are now in evidence.
7. The rendered water reflections are very pretty.
8. Heroic 'ego' could well add an interesting dimension to character AI.
9. Green is my very favourite colour!

Feel like accentuating the positive? Chip in with some comments.

The one thing that impressed me on most of the trailer stuff was that the animations were pretty smooth. I was expecting some pretty choppy stuff, so kudos to your animators.

Also, I have quite taken a liking to the smell of fresh daisies. Not that that has anything much to do with Majesty 2 of course..

Well, there were those flower-planting healers to contend with...

Decent defensive fortifications are a welcome addition. Heroes that vary in gear and appearance should be great. Being able to mix together heroes from opposite religions/races could be very interesting. And 'advanced classes' have much to be said for them!

I'm sure George Ledoux's talents can be put to good use, and I'm certainly glad that heroes can be retained between quests. The ability to modify textures and models is a major plus, and I am certain that a custom map editor will go down well with fans. Smoother multiplayer is general should be a substantial improvement upon the original.

...And again, other posters are more than welcome to cite their own examples.

No, wait, wait- I got another- the idea of 'citizens' in the game (as opposed to henchmen/heroes) intrigues me greatly. There also many aspects of the original game that I am glad are being retained- hero initiative, obviously, varied AI behaviour, spontaneous building appearances, etc. etc. I am also glad that efforts are being made to retain the charm and humour of the original majesty.

At the risk of sounding critical, is absolutely no-one else interested in saying something not-critical here? I'm a little baffled.

I like the new graphic scheme. Maybe it was just me, but I felt the first Majesty just had this dark/night thing going on. Screenshots show that there is definately a day.night distinction (or just perpetual day which I think is still better than what was going on in the first one). All in all, whatever the finer details of themes and stories may be, I do feel that the vibrant, colorful, and possibly cartoony graphics are quite appropriate for a game/story with the unique genre like Majesty.

Ok.. I like that the devs and Paradox seem sincere about liking the first Majesty, about making a great sequel and to a reasonable degree, have involved the community.

The game looks good, some new interesting features, like parties, prestige classes, etc, have been added and the base premises of the original game have been kept. I also enjoy the fact that George Ledoux possibly could return in everything works out.

Yeah, I'm glad there's a sequel being made. I may not be exactly what I would like, but then again maybe it'll be as much fun or nearly as much fun as the original. Both could be true.

And if M2 doesn't turn out to be as good as the original, there's still a chance Majesty 3 will be. :D
