To the OP: That is one very low military score you've got. I had around 100 at that time I think.
What does OP mean ?

Oh thanks okay so he's talking about me![]()
Yeah I must say I did very little for the military, I focused on economy industries and politics. It might totally be what doomed me...
What caused all the revolts, though?
Also, is there any way to make Jacobin rebels not appear in liberal democracies like the USA? Rebellion for the status quo is definitely weird.

It's early 1848 and :
...
Just an example (but that's something a silple patch can't change I think as it would need new political tools) : just before the entire State of New York fell to the Commune of New York City, the political affiliations were with 30% of the voters voting for "Southern Democrats" !!! In NY State !!!![]()
I think someone in the demo thread said they had managed to play out the time period in peace. it will be pretty difficult though and I think you might need some luck.
A slightly tangential question regarding the ACW:
In V1, it was possible to avoid the Civil War, but it was generally a bad idea, because it meant you were stuck being a slave-owning country until the end of the game, because the ACW was the only way to emancipate the slaves. Now that slavery (or emancipation) has been implemented as a reform, would it be possible to avoid the Civil War in the early game and free the slaves at some later date by enacting the reform? More to the point, is there an end date for the ACW event, or would emancipating the slaves in 1900 lead to a delayed ACW?
I have had some Jacobin Revolts.
Why you have 9.25 counciousness?
Pretty much the only way to avoid the ACW would be to get enough liberals in the UH to outlaw slavery without getting enough CON to trigger the key slavery events. Just ending slavery on it's own doesn't trigger the ACW, I guess it's assumed if you manage it you either reached an agreement with the South, or you kept the pops there with such low CON they didn't realise what was going on.
People are all stirred up due to the slavery debate.
As Darkrenown said, if you outlaw slavery while keeping CON low, the event will not trigger. Once slavery is outlawed, the ACW cannot happen any more.So is there an end date for the ACW, or the events leading up to it? Will the ACW still trigger in 1935 if CON rises high enough, even if you emancipated the slaves years ago?
