Agreed, therefore it is octopus, octopuses
"Octopodes" master race checking in.I like saying "octopi" to drive people crazy.
Latin's good. Latin's easy. Spanish has actually one academy per spanish speaking country, but they are sort of federated, so there's only one actual body who publishes the official dictionary and grammar rules.Always nice to learn more about old Greek, especially since it so often gets overshadowed by Latin, which in turn leads to weird words like "Quadrilogy" and "Octopi", so thanks for that.
Well, English does have rules, its just that there is nobody to enforce those rules (French for example has the Académie française, while spanish has about twenty or so organizations), so there is no one to officiate when those rules change.
I disagree!Yeah, I don't even speak Greek but "ethoi" sounds dumb as all heck. If we're speaking English, it uses English rules.
I'm happy that we have finally united our ethoises towards one consensus.
Surely you mean united our ethoises towards one consense?
but feel free to Greek it up.
i'm sure it would be tasty tomorrow as well...Is it tasty, like a Todai?
Like the Byzantines always do to my son when I send him to join the Varangians? Bastards.
