My point is that it is a bit of a paradox, isn't it? Someone doesn't get hired because the software company gets the content for free from a YouTuber, yet if that YouTuber doesn't have the channel she/ he doesn't have income (or wouldn't be playing the game). From what I gathered Paradox would hire Arumba if he didn't have the YouTube channel where they got the stuff for free. That just feels wrong. Just hire the person then or pay him for some of the things she/he has contributed.
How does that policy affect the contributing community? Should you not have expectations of a job when you contribute freely? Paradox makes money from those contributions, through game sales. I don't know, it just doesn't feel right on some level. If you're taking this much to put into a game, you should pay the person for it, and maybe even protect them from themselves a bit, that is just how I feel.
I have no problems with contributing voluntarily, it is one of the things that makes this game great, but when someone isn't getting hired because they contribute freely, well that is something I think needs to be discussed as community. Like some people said more people are looking for work, and we have to have some agreement between software companies and employment seeking individuals on this.
The working for a software company and still having a YouTube channel isn't without precedent. See Agrippa Maxentius channel for example:

I don't know if this thread is the best place for it, and maybe this discussion should be moved to a new thread with a different title as part of a broader discussion, because it is something that effects everyone that wants to work at Paradox, or any software company for that matter.
It's just a situation that I would rather see differently. Let's see it as a learning experience, and how we can improve.
That's just my hedgehodgian logic.
