I've made a crapton attempts at this achiv now, I can't for the life of me do it, AI china just falls way too fast.

The mechanics that communist china has, like the border wars, infiltrations are woefully ineffective/slow before the jap onslaught just rolls the chinese lines, in trying to figure out what kills Nationalist China so fast, I have noticed the AI non stop attacks into the japanese and just depleting all their manpower, arms.

Has anybody had better luck than I with this?

As PRC I can win the war with Japan and China ok.

I start researching guns and industry. Recruit 2 juntan and take focuses for additional research slot. Upgrade troops to juntan and train them. Build infrastructure on the steel producing province.

Then focuses down to war goals on Shanxi and Ma. Any power points I put into army leaders for attack and attrition.

Take Shanxi immediately and straight after Ma with your extra two troops. You need them to cover the front even if green.

After these wars I prep for Japan. Starting army to north front with Mengkukuo and additional troops.

When war with Japan fires join United China FC and see if you can push quickly into Mengkukuo but don’t over stretch. New juntan are stationed behind the river at Beijing - starting with three brigades and building to ten or so. Keep adding to this line until you are sure Japan doesn’t break through.

After these fronts are stable recruit two small forces for port defence - five or so should do.

Now grind it out. Rather than spamming low quality troops that get wrecked by attrition, I’d suggest sticking with a smaller army at first and building up to 20 wide with spades and cannons support if you can.

Push where and when you can, but don’t rush because the AI reaction time is instant and you’ll get sucked into encirclements. Let China and the other lemmings do the attacking and grind it out. When Japan finally gets over the river at Beijing, pull your troops to a fall back line in your own territory and don’t let them in.

Focus on Mengkukuo and make sure when you break through it’s from your territory so you get it. As Japan gets stretched moving into China, you can cut them off above Beijing.

Now, while Japan is getting pushed out build more divisions and keep two on the China border and start running the infiltrations.

You can take China any time as they’re terribly weak from fighting Japan.

And that’s as far as I’ve got. Think I messed up triggers on the civil war or maybe I need HK, Macau and the others, but I’ve mothballed this until the patch.
