The Pause Key

This is something that gets brought up almost every time a new Paradox game is in the works, and I thought I'd point it out again.

It would be really nice if we could easily configure our own pause key in game. I would desperately love to be able to pause with the space bar, or at least left-ctrl or something at the bottom of the keyboard. I tend to play at max speed and pause to issue orders so I use the pause key a lot and it's really awkward reaching up for the pause/break button all the time.

Letting us pause with the spacebar would be bad for typing in multiplayer, so don't make it the default, but some of us never play multiplayer and so don't need to be able to chat.

So please, please, please let us configure our own pause key.

Seconded--I'd go so far as to hope for customizable hotkeys.

Thirded. But to be honest, it's not that bad to use the pause/break button. I have after a few years play learned to hold my arm over the keyboard in a way that is not that tiresome, using one finger to press pause and one to press enter to get rid of the annoying messages.

Fourthed, adjustable hotkeys would be a great asset. But keep in mind that on some notebook computers, or PC's with uncommon keyboards, the pause/break button is not that distinguished like in other keyboards, so it's much more unpleasant, as you often hit an adjecent key.

And please if the game is pased... don't use that ugly "game pased" text... that is not cool if one wants too take a SS
