It looks like the tide is turning in favor of the pope. I'm sure it has to do with spl promissing to send out the Texas Rangers in case of an Italian win
In the case of max centralization, then remain the Papal States. The centralization is the only real bonus you'd receive, and other than that it's pure aesthetics.
