We have a replacement scen. for the Vanilla GC, why not an AGCEEP Age of Exploration et al.? I think it'd be interesting to have AGCEEP equivalents to all the vanilla scenarios. Kinda like what VIP is doing for Vicky. Was this option explored in the early days..?

I guess that creating a scenario is somewhat complicated. 1520 is in AGCEEP since at least one year, but it's look as playble and finished only since this release (or the last one...).
It would be great to have a 1492 or a "age of mercantilism" scenario, but I'm sure that it won't be before looooooong
Indeed, we don't have a lot of extra scenarios as it takes quite a lot of work to get the setup correct, and no one is currently working on doing such.
Yeah, to create a new scenario would be to code one up from scratch. One cannot use a Paradox scenario as a base because ACG-EEP has a whole set of different country tags, cultures, etc. or am I wrong?
Actually, I am gonna go see what loading up a vanilla scenario with AGC-EEP will do...

Hmmm. Everything seems look and run normally aside from the setup changes needed such as putting Protestants in Europe. Give me a laundry list of things to do to make this scenario compatible with ACG-EEP. What exactly does the "history" portion of the event file do? Is it just for triggering?
I actually saw the ACG-EEP chain for the War of the Spanish Succession happen. Exciting. Of course it ended within the month by 12 ducats, but the proper AI file can remedy that.
history is for all the events that should have occurred / be slept at this point.
Thus you need to track them all down. Additionally you need to enact any/all changes that those events that should have already occurred made to dp settings or cultures, prov religions and what not.
Umm...because it'd require a whole new slew of events to model things. Like for instance, Timur's take over of Anatolia, plus his re-establishment of various princes, the break up of his Empire at his death...and his son's re-claiming his empire. Thats quite a bit right there, for just one nation.
Agh. That reminds me...i'm going to haveto figure the nightmare setup for Japan in the 1520 scenerio once my civil war events are done. Not gonna be pretty...
I just hope i won't haveto do something similar for the new map...it would make the current HYW setup for 1419 look like a walk in the park.
