Hello everyone, I've returned and I'm sad to say this mod is currently dead. I was ill and didn't feel like making this mod or playing this game. Now that I'm back I'm not really that interested in this at the moment, I've something else lined up for release in alpha. I still have all the files, and I may come back to this, but as of now it is dead. I will say however, this mod may very well yet lead to great things, and all the things I learned from this were invaluable so much so, that if I had to do it all again, I would. This mod contains many failed but also many successful experiments, and more than not, the reason why I stopped, is not because I couldn't or didn't have time, it was my sickness that got me tired of this game, and now that I'm back I don't feel like working on this project. I hope everyone understands and that this clears things up nicely.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ehm, I mean some of the files if you need them for your mod, not the whole mod. As it stands the mod is full of errors, unfinished flags, tech tree is a mess, events are all over the place etc.. I will return to this mod to see what I can fix and see if I become interested again. If not, I will give away the whole mod, sure, but for now I'll think about my plans. If you want to get a feel for what even a fraction of this mod is, you can try modding my Great War Experiment mod, see what it feels like, I will be adding more things from this mod there as well and that's open alpha.

I said i can revive it. That doesn't mean I need a functioning thing to start working on it. But if you want it to fully be your project thats fine.
Sorry if I was unclear, I didn't mean it like that, I'm not sure where I would go anyway with this mod, I just wanted to fix the errors before making up my mind, that's all.

Oh okay yeah. No clue what the end goal is for the world you mean? Yeah we could brainstorm that all day i guess.
My end goal was to make it so in the end there are different disasters and special horde nations that invade to make it the ultimate challenge. If you had player events on, you as yourself could also die at any moment which meant game over as well. End goal for the starting nations would be to make them as fun and diverse as possible with as many events, I guess. Problem was, I got errors everywhere all of a sudden, then stopped modding and now that I'm back I can't start the mod, I need to go back to a very old version. If you want, I can give you the old version of the mod if you want something to tinker with. It has no OOBs, events, unfinished flags and interface. I only gave it the newer topographic look in case I need to go back because I can't fix the new version.

Well, could i get the newer broken version to see if I can fix it? If you deem it too broken i could go with the older version and tinker. I did check your Great War mod and its very barren, but theres nothing inherently hard about it compared to modding vanilla darkest hour... If you know what i mean?

Yeah, I will try and fix my newer version if it's even possible as it really is broken. You can get the older version but it's not much less barren than my Great War mod as I used that a long time ago. And no, it's not harder, there's just more work because of the higher province count. I plan on updating my Great War mod with features from my newest version of the Old Order, so it's going to be less barren as I continue. But yeah, if you just want bare bones here, I can post the download link to my very old and working version.

I got a technology suggestion. A small chance for someone to invent the electromagnetic cannon. Perhaps by a small chance for none or some to develop it, or that only one lucky nation gets it. You could also follow the historic route and give it to Norway as an event. Kristian Birkeland invented it in 1904, but got no funding for it. He instead went on to study the northern lights. Maybe you as a player could fund this project.
