The Old Gods DLC not working in game (steam)

I bought Crusader Kings 2 a few weeks through steam, just before the old gods came out and have been playing the game for awhile. Now today i bought the old gods also through steam. The dlc is in the steam list and the games launcher, but when i launch the game the dlc is not active. I have re-installed the game, restated steam and cheeked the integrity of it. I can not get it to work, Please help.

Hello kwakamungus,

If you start the game, is there in the screen where you select your dynasty an icon in the bottom left-hand corner?

Also, could you mention the system specifications of your pc?

On the bottom left there are only the icons for the first four DLC's not the old gods. And my pc is a Win 7 Toshiba laptop with 4gb of ram, quad core Intel core i5-2410M, graphics is Nvidia GeForce gt 540m.

Alright, if you start the game what is the checksum on the bottom left-hand side next to the menu? If you are on the latest patch it should say WQLL.

If not please check if you have opted in for any beta's, you can do that by going to you steam library, right click on the game and then click on properties. Then go to the BETAS tab and click on None - Opt out of all betas. It should download the latest game version now, if not you can always verify the integrity of the game cache.

• Open your Steam games library
• Right click on "Crusader Kings II" and select "properties"
• Click on the tab "Local Files"
• Now click on "Verify integrity of game cache"
• Wait until this process is finished, if any files are missing/corrupted it will notify you at the end of the process and automatically start with redownloading these files
