The Old Gods bought, but can't be used.

I recently bought the old gods in the 75% off sale, ( here's the proof: ) but yet, I am still told I'm not allowed to play pagan or zorostrian without the old gods DLC..

I have tried deleting files in C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Crusader Kings II\dlc and verifying game cache, but it still reinstalls it without the old gods.

I am at the latest update (1.103, checksum WQLL)

Do you have the DLC024 files in the dlc folder?

Yes, a 1kb .dlc file and a 2,099kb .zip file.

Have you tried to disable the dlc's from the launcher and launch the game like that and then quit and reable them and check if it would start to work?

Just did, it yields no results unfortunately.

I did some searching and do this step again but this time first verify the cache on Steam until it doesn't find anything wrong and takes longer than a second or two then deselect all dlc's, launch the game, close it down, close steam down, restart steam, now launch the game with the dlc's on and see if that helps.

Just tried this and it didn't work, thanks for your assistance thus far, though.

Hmm... this is odd as usually those things we tried helps as your other dlc's work fine.

You could try manually delete the dlc024 and using the verify integrity to redownload it.

Agh, That didn't work either. Any other suggestions?

It might be trastic to do but you could try a full clean reinstall. Uninstall the game, manually delete the game folder, manually delete Crusader Kings II folder in My Documents -> Paradox Interactive and reinstall the game. If you want to keep your save games and mods remember to copy them from the Crusader Kings II folder in My Documents before deleting it.

I fixed it by deleting my dlcsignature file. thanks so much for the help mate, had you not told me to check my paradox documents file I would never have found that file.

I knew I forgot some simple thing. Thanks for reminding me of that file. Should have been the next suggestion but the clean install would have fixed it too.
