I think I may be using some AI files from the older versions of the game that included the infamous air suicide bug...could someone point me in the direction of the lines of code that were controling this problem so I can yank them out if present?

EDIT- the only real difference that I can see is this line of code-
min_mission_strength_org = 0.8
...under the 'air bombardment & defense' heading in the older files.
