Hmmm.. Yesterday I pre-ordered EU IV from Green Man Gaming. But I didn't get a steam key. Is this normal? Do I get the key on release?

After the complex and informative prereleasing work by paradox interactive I felt a little bit left alone actually...

There is no 100% information that the offer contending a "real" DVD but a total weight of 82 grams for delivering leads me to the assumption that there should be a little package sent to my adress (OK: I don't know the exact weight of downloaded data but maybe not that heavy...:unsure
Furthermore in the abstract it is described that the additional contents for pre order costumers are available.
One of my main reasons for likely buying the DVD version is the bad internet bandwith in my region (yes also in Germany there are some dilevery holes...:glare
Anyway. Do anybody know the final facts in this case...

The DVD will contain an installer and steam-codes, but the bulk will be downloaded through steam.
I sincerely doubt it will be released the 13th though.

Do you mean that after buying the DVD at "amazon.de" the whole "pre order value" is available by downloading it at steam but not immediatly???
Using steam for getting all additionals is not a problem for me at all...

Because I don't think they can print the game and distribute it to that quickly.. I think the boxes may be 1-3 weeks later than that date.
Nevertheless the pre order bonus is downloadeble then for me if I am ordering the DVD now???

Johan, what is included in the purple phoenix dlc and the muslim Event pack? It would be nice to have more info about them other than "This DLC adds new, unique events and themed event pictures, as well as several new unit models to the Byzantine Empire. I honestly thought it would be discussed in the stream yesterday.

: eveybody having a pre-order icon and a Steam CD-key received these because of an error. There has been lot of confusion about this, but you may only wait until August the 13th.You don't need to worry about all of that, just check you well received this confirmation e-mail from Steam. You'll receive a new one when EU4 will get released, with your CK-key.

Given we have official type folks in this thread - can I confirm an opinion from the CKII forums? - I'm asking because Steam is a little bit of a mystery to me.
I already own CKII on my main Steam account (and ALL the DLC). I have been intrigued by the EU4 videos and like Paradox a lot so I am thinking of pre-ordering; the converter sounds fun. Now, will I be able to gift the CKII I get for the pre-order to my son's Steam account? A nice response on the CKII forums suggested I could but I would like to make sure. Thanks.

Yes you can, you'll just get emailed the Steam Code, which you could give him. Alternately if you pre-order from steam then the copy of CKII will go into your gift inventory on Steam, if you already have CKII installed.

Will the key for CK2 be available as soon as you pre-order or at the release date? Tried to google this but only find information about savegame-converter.
