I dunno why people in here wishing for more dev diaries when the more dev diaries there are the longer we technically gonna wait.
I don't wish more DDs, I'm just saying how many more I believe are coming.

Given how often time is being mentioned in recent responses I'm assuming they're at least on the bolting down and polishing stage and not the squeeze small additions in stage anymore. So long wait but maybe not thaaat long. Otoh HF seems to have so many disparate moving parts the bolting down and poliahing stage might take a while.

I have a question about autonomous leadership and the ability to pick branches: how many branches are there and do they reflect the nature/doctrines of the religion or are they standardized?

@Snow Crystal Something relatively minor, but there seems to be considerably more features coming with this DLC/patch than there were with previous ones, will the amount of new achievements be proportional to the content we're getting? I usually base my first playthroughs around the new achievements, and I want to see what you guys have in store for us on that front.

@Snow Crystal, two questions:
- do certain doctrines require high tech level?
- do they affect default religion features (i.e. enatic clans and autocephalous/hierocratic in religion, where we don't have female temple holders - do we get female pope/patriarch or not?)?

@Snow Crystal In light of recent dev diaries, I got 3 questions
1) If you would play this game (i have no idea if you actually have time or desire to), which upcoming feature you'd be most hyped?
2) Is there anything you can tell about yet unseen but known religious reform doctrines?
3) So every pagan religion basically gets warrior guild, but is there a way to make a pagan spiritual order like catholics get, or is that monastery doctrine basically "no titles for you" button enabler?

We saw a new Byzantine government type in a previous dev diary but it was nowhere to be seen in the Hellenism diary. What are you hiding?o_O

No Doctrines use tech lvl as requirement for anything.
I'm actually not sure, so I can't answer the second one.

1. I have issues appreciating my own work, so none of the things I personally added. Probably the Warrior Lodges (I have not tried these a lot, but what little I tried was great fun) or the Pagan Reformation. Actually, just Tribal Pagan gameplay is a lot more fun than it used to be.
2. Not much, besides that we are pleased how many of them are viable and fun to play around with.
3. Mostly the latter, I'm afraid. It's a sad fact of life that Societies take a LOT of time to add and QA. I don't think any of us feel like monastic societies would feel right unless we spent a lot of time to change them for Pagans.

P/Matriarchal does affect the female_temple_holder factor. Pagan religions that go Patriarchal lose female temple holders, Pagan religions that go Matriarchal lose male temple holders. This goes for religious heads as well.

Come on, @Snow Crystal at least you can say no, just don't ignore me.

It's not that I ignore people, but I often check the thread while doing other things. So the times I do set aside time to respond, I often forget questions I've read earlier. But no to both questions for now.

Hey I've a question regarding the differences between the different unreformed and reformed pagan religions.

So previously we had offensive pagans, defensive pagans and Zunists (which were kind of a mix). The all had different bonuses to Levy size, Retinue size and garrison size. Some gave combat bonuses to certain troop types, and some gave extra defence on home ground. Not all of these bonuses went away after reforming (like Tengri light cav bonus), they just changed.

There was also some of the religions not having female temple holders. Stuff like that.

Basically I'm asking if all the reformable religions start as the same blank canvas as soon as you hit the reform button, or if a difference between a reformed Romuva and reformed Suomenusko will always exist, regardless of options chosen.

I got thinking of this because of someone saying that reformed Hellenic will retain access to Haruspicy and Astrology (I think?), which seems very powerful.

As far as I understand it, the unreformed are basically the same as they are now in that they have different mechanics and flavour, and once you reform, the doctrines are in addition to the normal stuff you have. This is confirmed for Zunist’s access to the Hermetics and Hellenic’s access to astrology and stuff (and those doctrines aren’t available, since they’d do nothing), though there is a doctrine that allows the Germanic river movement, so I’m not 100% sure.
