I applaud your creativity. I cannot wait for the new and innovative Rise of the Lizard Men to come out. Then we can get a total conversion dlc to Dwarf Fortress, with randomly generated countries of elves, dwarves and humans. Nothing like a little fun, eh? EH?!?! ITS OPTIONAL ITS OKAY IF U NO LIKE!

Even better: it can be like the Slithzerakai from Exile! And we can get the Cat people in there too, add giant spiders and brigands and you're golden!

(Actually, an Exile conversion of CK2 would be pretty awesome, now that I think about it. Mod maybe.)

:Edited for atrocious grammar, it probably won't show up but the mistake of "your" for you're is too horrendous for me to not acknowledge the first time I've ever made that mistake. What has the internet done to me...?

Edit: Crap, I accidentally replied to myself. This just hasn't been my day. Mods, please delete this if you like, it was meant to be an edit.

Since they said they planned four DLCs for CKII, the fourth one better be damn good and jam packed with content and expanded mechanics.
This Aztec thing seems like a bloody waste, driving a wedge between the community and slowing further development of the game.

Can't you leave the ridiculous alternate history scenarios to the modders? Aztecs couldn't sale when Cortez discovered them, and they sure as hell couldn't sail in the 14th century. Aztec weapons were composed of wood and obsidian, and would only break upon contact with anything tougher than leather. In fact, the Aztecs weren't even a power in Meso-America until after the events of CKII

They never said there were only going to be four (major) DLC. I seem to recall saying something like they had four currently planned at one time, but never that there would not be others. And even if that were true, this is clearly not one of those four.

Agreed, it's like a stab in the heart that one of the upcoming DLCs has been spent thusly. Either Pagans or Catholics will get the shaft I guess, and I suppose it likely means the Zoroastrians will get nothing. Maybe it will just be alien invasions or better yet: Rise of the Lizard Men.

Except that 1) it is not one of the 4 planned DLCs and 2) 4 PLANNED DLCs never meant 4 DLCs ONLY?

His mission: to unite humanity and await the coming of the god emperor.

"Await"? No, no... FIND the Emperor.

You see, the canon story of the W40k Emperor of Mankind is that he was the outcome of a concentration of all the powers and consciences of thousands of Wise Men of the Neolithic, who wanted to create the New Man - he was born with full powers in the 8th millennium BC, and since then he oriented Humanity's development. He only decided to step to the fore and truly lead because the Age of Strife had led the Humans in the galaxy to such dire straits that he had to reveal himself - but he was already tens of millennia old at the time.

So, there is no reason for this Space Marine not to find the Emperor - who was over 8,000 years old in the Middle Ages and responsible for the development of true Human civilizations ever since - and see if it could convince him to reveal himself faster. That said, the Emperor probably knew all this and would just request the Space Marine to be a bodyguard and not to interfere with his plans for the next millennia.

Invasion Idea: Okavango

A Bantu tribe in Modern-day Botswana and Zambia discovers a plant that can be made into an explosive powder. They make these into powerful lances and use them to conquer the area. Just as the tribesmen look north for new lands to conquer, they discover that it can propel a projectile in a blowgun at high speeds. Europe must now fear a threat far greater than the Aztecs, the might of firearms...

Walmart DLC? Pink DLC? (chuckle)

I would so love a Mafia DLC or a King Arthur-esque/Merlin/Seelie DLC. Duck! (bullets or crystal shards, either/or both).

Three, actually. Saw Johan mention that he was counting 4 starting with LoR, as it was in context of how many they had planned at the time.

And I'd love for the EMPIRE to just just portal in an invade everything. And perhaps a plucky band of adventuring hedge knights (and wizards) operating under the arm of Constantinoples "Unspecified services and intelligence" are the only thing that can stop them!

Agreed, it's like a stab in the heart that one of the upcoming DLCs has been spent thusly. Either Pagans or Catholics will get the shaft I guess, and I suppose it likely means the Zoroastrians will get nothing.

I'm unhappy for almost this very reason (I was looking forward to playing merchant republics though).
