I'm trying out a Void Dweller Terravore today and I couldn't help but chuckle when my Growth Node gained what may as well be a blank negative trait. I don't think trust will be an issue when the whole galaxy knows that the Krull Cluster only wants one thing and it's disgusting.

Also, and I'm not sure how, but my neighbor's home planet had a sister planet with an Atomic Age primitive civilization on it. The day after I conquered the Netraxia's home planet, the primitive planet turned into a tomb world. I can only assume the primitives were in communication with their space-faring neighbor, saw the writing on the world, and took the easy way out.

That pre-FTL specifically (named Haven, Burrow, Den, Bunker or similar names depending on species phenotype) is the xenophobic seperatist faction from the Fear of the Dark Origin. They nuke themselves after you successfully invade the homeworld proper.
Used to be they nuke themselves even if a stray Space Amoeba took out your starbase in the early game too, from what I've heard.

But hey, free food for you!

My 2-system Scholarium vassal decided to direct their research towards weaponsof mass destruction.

Ah yes, the Xenophobic Fallen empire. Well-known for not letting anyone near their territory, going so far as to not let anyone use the space around them, although they are pretty chill when it comes to gambling halls and raiders.

Not strange per se, but starting locations like this always give me a chuckle (and quick restart). The only planet I could colonize is a size 15 Savanna world while I am Aquatic Angler Civilization.

Impossible!

Humans are always the good guys!

(... of their own story ... which might feature terrible xeno NPCs who need to be purged ...)

... when I dig this out, what is going to happen to all these primitives?

(And to the ringworld I guess but I've got others.)

This is a 0.4% chance per game, by the way.

- The game spawns 2 FEs on default settings.
- The game has a 5% chance of choosing a saved template when it generates an FE.
- The game only uses saved templates with ethos that match the FE it wants to generate.
- There are 5 xenophobe preset empires, including the Commonwealth of Man.

That's a 40% chance of spawning the correct FE per game, a 5% chance of spawning an FE based on a preset empire, and a 20% chance of spawning a xenophobe FE using the Commonwealth of Man specifically.

Of course, that doesn't account for either you or another empire already being the CoM, but I can't be bothered to throw in the likelihood that the CoM has already spawned into this calculation.

Creating & saving custom human empires can also throw off the math as does not owning Synthetic Dawn, but good job on calculating the default odds.
