Why use only one Collosus when you can get the job done with two identical ones slightly overlapping eachother?

So you know those alien fossils you find frozen in some ice-asteroid? I decided to make them work for me instead of putting them in a zoo as I usually do, and I guess because my capital is an ecumenopolis this is their preferred habitat...

And here we see an ecumenopolitan outside of it's natural habitat.

Considering I literally found them floating in space you'd maybe expect them to have some habitability, if not something specific at least a unique trait giving a bonus to all biomes (since space is pretty much as hostile as an environment can get)? I mean ecumenopolis-habitability is basically no habitability at all since everything is cold, hard steel and every requirement for life is naturally stimulated

It is not even Ecumenpolis-hability, but AI world hability. I wonder, if it will be able to survive on machine worlds or colonize the worlds infected by the contingency.

It says AI-habitability, but it specifies ecumenopolis, but really what's the difference? Though I don't think it's possible to re-claim Contingency worlds as bombardment simply shatter them, but I'm certainly hoping I'll get to test it out soon, that game just reached endgame

Our outpost is set to passive observation, but I'm not sure that covers all the superstitions that are going to arise regarding why their moon suddenly started getting really sparkly.

Imagine them reaching pre-space age and they send a probe to the moon, seeing an advanced civilization (yours) on it:
For the longest time, we thought ourselves alone, only to find out we had neighbours on the closest stellar body... our very own moon

@permeakra The +10 to science features? Those are supposed to be there I believe, since Fen Habbanis gives +10 to all science when mined. The description is weird though. The funny thing is, I got the same precursor world as my hive mind.

He probably means building over the size of the planet.

Dim portal and Numa's Breath events.
On Ecumenopolis, which is by definition studied completely.
How?

Lol, I completely missed those. To be fair, I have never even seen those events.

EDIT: And of course, a couple hours after saying that, I got the portal event.

Also, this might be the worst planet roll I've seen so far. At least it will make a good Ecumenopolis.

While doing a passive observation of a pre-ftl species one of my scientists disappeared. No problem, this should be interesting.
awhile later
And now they advanced a stage from a leader with advanced tech. Not surprised. Lets take a look at the planet!

Uh... Houston we have a problem. The buildings decided to delete themselves...

And now everyone is unemployed... Well shit.

"Sir, I think our planet may be in a bit of danger."

Nah, it's fine. The crisis AI can't take planets right now anyway, only glass them from orbit.

Yes but since that planet is being colonized, 2 seconds of orbital bombardment will kill everyone.
