All of my other Leaders usually die off in their 70s or 80s. This guy somehow managed survive since the beginning of my campaign. Glad I researched those enhanced senior citizen multi-vitamins early on!

Wish i had a screen of this but as often happens during a human playthrough is that you meet other humans. This one was annoying though. I started with my usuall Sol system and just 2 Hyperlane jumps from my home i find my first race. Human republic living on desert worlds *sigh* (they called me filthy aliens). I then continued for about 10 years and about 4 jumps away i find Sol system with early space age humans. Come on! 50 years into the game what do i find just two empires away? Another human empire. I had to come up with an emergency RP theme for this and decided that humans have been abducted by aliens since the stone age. They were placed on different worlds and experimented on. The alien race however slowly died out since they were using cloning to sustain their population but the genepool soon diminished and the humans saw their chance and staged a rebellion. They took the tech left behind and created their own civilization

Synth being unhappy because it (it? HE!) has Citizen Rights. I guess the too much emancipated holidays made him hate work :p

"sentient |ˈsɛnʃ(ə)nt|

adjective

able to perceive or feel things"

If you don't have the ability to perceive, I don't see how you could invent anything.
I'm pretty sure they're not defining sentient that vaguely, but more in the narrow 'is human like in intelligence' otherwise anything above grass on the scale of having a nervous system can technically be defined as sentient.

Playing as a race of fascistic giant desert-dwelling arthropods.

20160517233613_1.jpg

Science vessel runs across a race of bronze age primitives on a world several light years from our own.

20160517233638_1.jpg

They turn out to be giant desert-dwelling arthopods almost identical to ourselves.

I think I just found the giant desert bug equivalent of the "rubber forehead" aliens from Star Trek. Haha
