The compliance gain in the beta patch is a little silly right now, resulting in weird collaboration governments.

There is a thread (so I thought) where a player was complaining that AI navies put their fleets on amphibious support missions and it's nearly impossible to intercept and fight them. I am playing USA -vs- Fascist world and was having the same problem for months in spite of having radar, Navs etc. Turns out the most powerful fleets I wanted to fight (Royal Navy and Imperial Japanese Navy) were larger than my tightly organized and updated strike fleets, so once I set strike fleet engagement from Medium Risk to Always Engage (a bit risky, true) Nimitz and Halsey started earning their pay.

Now I can't find the original thread. :(

But I'm not going to let these screenshots go to waste when winning a two ocean war against the world's most powerful fleets simultaneously!

In addition while I was trying to play grabass with my two most dangerous naval opponents my Admirals did find time to sink the Bourbon French fleet, and my "brawny" patrols (2 CA, 8 DD) were eating up German battleship raiders like popcorn, though sadly I was derelict in getting screenies of those smaller fights. So here you go: :D

I even helped out the AI by confusing ENcryption and DEcryption this entire game, so I maxed out my encryption years ago, giving the AI a perfect shot at breaking my codes, the whole time wondering why it was taking so long for me to crack enemy codes...

First I have to move mountains to capitulate Germany, now I have to clean up their occupation mess?

Nazis should not be put in charge of anything. No people skills whatsoever.

In 1942 the Axis finally crumbled and capitulated to the Allies. The whole Axis? No, a single nation continued to resist: Slovakia:

Unfortunately for them they don't have magic potions, so they probably won't last much longer. ;)

In the peace Britain split up Germany in three parts: West Germany, Constitutional Germany and the German Republic. This is West Germany, ruled by Konrad Adenauer with its Black-Red-Gold flag:

And this is the German Republic - with the very same flag ruled also by Adenauer:

German reunification when?

So, I randomly assigned some nations ahistorical paths, started a game as Uruguay and let the AI run wild. Took some time but Douglas MacArthur have succeeded in putting the right man in charge of Australia (Douglas also puppeted my Uruguay at some point, hence the flag).

Oddly enough, the Emu Empire is "Guided by Britain" despite there no longer being a Britain.
