Do you see why I hadn't enough equipment??? I'm still on civilian economy after over 4 years of war!!! USA is fighting this war more as a hobby and is still winning!

I was a year into a war with Japan. They, all by themselves, had more than 2x the amount of battalions (?? the units that go into making a division; e.g., 7 infantry + 2 towed artillery) than I did.

Eventually, I realized that my low manpower was because I was still on the 2.5% setting. I upped it, and I couldn't produce units fast enough.

Uhh... Hitler? You aren't the leader of Germany anymore. Also your party is illegal and literally has a 0% approval rating. Please stop wandering onto Chancellor Adenauer's stage and rambling about a "German Reich" that no longer exists.

Just finished my first Ironman game on this update/DLC today, ended up being quite probably my worst WW2 so far. Figured I'd have the safety of being on an island on my side but as it turned out, Great Britain became a thing, aligned itself with the Axis and soon enough I was fighting half the world.

Salty Churchill.

I decided not to Lend Lease anyone. And there wasn't "Destroyers for bases" event either. So when the Japanese came knocking on my door, I asked Mister Churchill for some help. And he... declined. With that ...face of his. Oh well...

Hmm interesting they will decline join faction due to -300 them and us losing wars reasons.

The Axis member looks typical which makes me wonder how are UK losing their wars?

I went for neutrality/isolation in this playthrough, so it's not surprising the Allies are losing. The game says that I'm losing a war because I was put into Japan-China War on Chinese side (we're not allied though). China is losing, so the total score on our side is low, hence "I'm losing".

The UK has lost North Africa to Italians and Vichy France. Italians also control Norway (uh, what?!) and Greece. Germany has what it had historically, but does not seem to attack USSR actively. Japan is yet to invade anything. They're focusing on war with China, it seems. But already took my Wake Island and are about to take Guam.

Quite realistic and sane, actually. I'm pleasantly surprised so far!

ps: This is '36 start unmodded game btw on default difficulty/historic focuses.

the french commune little entante entered the war 8 september 1938 and was defeated on 21 november 1941 only because "italy and the fascist allies" went to war with greece and france joined in defence of greece.

Civil Wars are fun.

Especially when the leaders of all of the contending sides were quadruplets, separated at birth.

So, here's the war:

And here's our beloved leaders:
Francis-Seward.png

James-Morgan.png

Jonathan-Conrad.png

And the Protagonist:
Louis-Gregg.png

...
So, the war continued with more random secessions to whoever wanted something first...

...
But our fearless Hero, Louis Gregg, Prevailed:

You gotta ask yourself one question, punk:
'Are you loyal enough for Louis Gregg?'

Is that achievement in a normal run? The 4 way split civil war? Or did you console it?

I think Europe could use more factions. The only thing missing is European Union.

I'm actually rather impressed that France keeps holding out. On the one hand, it's probably only because hitler won't declare on Belgium/Netherlands for some insane reason but on the other the Italians actually held the entire southern coast of France at one point and they've been fighting Franco for a while (war started over the Sudetenland with the spains joining the axis and comintern). Usually I see France totally collapse if Spain joins the war, or even sometimes when Italy goes over the Rhone river.

Didn't know Russia was in the Americas, though I guess they do control Georgia. :p

Never seen a single ship shoot down so many planes at once. Don't mess with the Pride of the Fleet.

What's the highest score you've seen from one ship in one battle? The all time champ historically I think was USS South Dakota (26 at the Battle of Santa Cruz).
