Yea that happens sometimes, I *think* getting them over 190 will make them friendly again but not quite sure. Getting them over... 90 (? havent played for a long time until yesterday) trust definitely makes them friendly (only way to prevent people rivaling you/declaring your provinces as being of yellow or even red interest to them is by having them over a certain level of trust)
In game sense they didn't harmonized animist, they harmonized pagans. The whole group.
So it's a French screen capture, but context is the following: I'm Riazan, going for the Kinslayer achievement (after completing Breaking the Yoke) and so wanting to kill Russia or at least make the Rurikovich family lose its throne. I am currently at war with Russia, for the 4th time in 25 years, we are rivals.... and now in the middle of the war they asl me to help them (I guess against a pretender, who I am letting siege their capital).
Edited: the pretender seized the Russian capital some months after above capture, but did not take the throne. Just wondering if it is possible during a war ? I can make peace, but the Timurids are also at war with Russia and just may kill the pretender rebels. I will wait a little, just to spawn more rebels in Russia.
Edited 2: two years later, the Romanov seized the Russian throne. I had signed peace, but the war with the Timurids was still going on. The pretender seizes another fort after the capital just before the change.

Same game as above: African west coast is mainly held by ... Souss, a Morrocan state that became independent after Spain ate its overlord. The Pope is here too as usual, but the merchants of the Italian city of Sienna decided to buy a province... of Souss. It never occured to me that you can buy provinces from another colonizer, but you can, if your capital is not in the same continent than its (in this case Souss capital is in Africa).
Buryatia (forever in our hearts [*] ) has migrated west, but retained its shape.

Some posts above is the same area 40 years before: Souss was holding half of the area and sold then almost all its provinces to all these countries
It is also the game where I have seen the biggest Buryata, but maybe I noticed it because Paradox is dropping it. Still, as I was pounding Russia in the west, Buriata allied with Ming and pounded them in the east. On the map above, Buriata, Timurids and Korea have each attack Russia independently while I was fighting my final war against Russia in the west.

And just some weeks later...
I took Roma (and Naples, and some African provinces) in early 1699, for the Redecorating achievement, that I have somehow forgotten in my Russia run last year.
Roma is not even cored that an event converts it to the Orthodox religion.... I think this event should not fire for this province.

A beautifully large Kanem Bornu as well. Don't think I've ever seen one at least since single-digit Versions in my games.

I thought present day Washington DC was located in the Conoy province? At least I thought so all this time

Ah. You're right, my bad. I'm not american, so not 100% familiar with US geography. It is however just outside the Washington D.C. border, if not just about going into it. Comparatively the eu4 province looks like it crosses into the area of D.C., a city part called PalisadesI thought present day Washington DC was located in the Conoy province? Tondo (animist) really wanted to convert to buddhism. They chose to do this every month, but could never follow through.
Eventually, they gave up and stayed animist. I'm pretty sure this is a bug of some kind.
