Krimean Diplomats.png

Crimea having almost all diplomatic relations one can have, exept for trade-league/steering, truce and personal union.
Neapel Pro-Diplo.png

Being a junior partner of Castille and Aragon seems to have quite upset the Neapolitan populace, by being to darn confusing. They seek independence from Castille, while having their other overlord Aragon as an ally... who is also a junior partner of Castille.

I also want to take this moment to tell of a bug-encounter, that I could sadly only show if I knew how to create gifs. On two occasions enemy fleets were trapped in the void between the harbor of an occupied province and the sea. They try to leave as they should but they got pulled back before they could enter the sea province, and since you cant fight them while they are docked, these ships become invincible for the duration of the occupation.

Gee Kilwa, how come your mom lets you have two Mexican colonies?

(This was a weird one. Kilwan Mexico got beaten up by some Mayans and released a bunch of colonies while I was busy elsewhere, and when I conquered them the provinces didn't automatically cede to Kilwan Mexico. After taking the Aztec heartland again I decided to core them myself and boom, second colony New Mexico. Somehow losing that war, but not being annexed, severed the connection between Kilwan Mexico and being the "right" colony for the region. Is it because they lost their capital?)

UPDATE: Figured it out

upload_2019-8-19_18-56-59.png

Capital got shoved to Colonial California, so I guess I no longer "had" a Mexican colony. Interesting for the future.

I think it's just an undiscovered territory mod.
I have one that makes the compass rose and other terra-incognita art much more elaborate.
I normally love space themed stuff, but here I just find it super distracting.

Are you Ming ? Or did the Pope purchase a TC province too close of Ming ?

The latter. I never played Ming before... I feel I'd lose interest due to how crazy strong they are.

The Pope did get a few provinces around Burmese area. Ming expanded into Thailand and gained a border, making the Pope bend knee.

Interestingly though, if the Pope didn't bend knee, he may not have Rome now, for Italy is nearly completed controlled by AI Iberian powers - the fear of AI Ming is probably the only thing stopping them from swallowing the Pope.

At least your Pope is still Catholic and not Confucean or Buddhst :)

I played Ming once, with a home rule to never do war, but expand by colonization, diplo-vassalization and war threats. I still managed to win both achievements I was after (Kow-Tow and Sweet Harmony).

Ladies and gentleman, let me present you not so holy empire: Grand (merchant) Republic of Black Sheep

Im playing byzantium on very hard. After killing ottomans I noticed something strange when checked if I can ally Quara Quyunlu:
13 vassals (all with 80+ liberity desire)
4 members trade league (every one of them is Trading City)
3 allies
and they will propably not accept alliance option because of:
Quara Quyunlu have too many diplomatic relations -280

This might not seems much, but I've never seen the AI pull this sort of trick before. Usually, Delhi becomes an OPM before 1450...

View attachment 508848
That's most certainly Jaunpur forming Delhi after snatching Delhi (the province) before Sirhind could occupy it.
