My 33 year old prince-consort is cheating on my queen with my 84 year old advisor (who was a friend of my current queen's mother).
I'm not even mad, you go get some, lady.
I probably I'd say that The Ulm is making strong alliance here

Printing Press is also allowed to spawn in any province in the Germany region as far as I know - if you completely prevent the Reformation from happening, it will still spawn in a German province
I was capable of doing that in M&T on 1356 start, but hopefully it was delayed not prevented in all. I wanted to play as protestant united HRE, managed to unite country few years before historical event but instead accidentally managed to reform Catholic Church in terms of it's corruption. You've piqued my interest. Ever managed to prevent the reformation?

It's certainly possible if you are playing as The Papal State and get the events to disable three events that can fire for other Catholic countries that can give reform desire early enough.
At worst you push it back a ton.
The question is why prevent it? It gives Deus Vult in europe and less competition for papal controller. It's certainly possible if you are playing as The Papal State and get the events to disable three events that can fire for other Catholic countries that can give reform desire early enough.

Mostly because since you can't convert your state religion you lack the final failsafe against CoRs conversions and annoying religious zeal provinces everywhere in europe when you expand there, I also feel like building the economy as much as possible fully extending your control on genoa/venice tradenodes before reformation strikes helps a lot against the inevitable corruption. The question is why prevent it? AI Switzerland is guaranteed switching reformed asap and gaining a reformation center that makes lots of nearby reformend land (and your own too, sadly) if you don't prehemptively kill them (that could also be a problem if you want the swiss guard event). And while it's like a 8 times divider for a reformation centre to choose a province of Italian culture; you can bet when you are playing the Pope; it will happen to you.
Also Deus Vult in Europe dosen't matter much because the strongest Reformation is in the North; while you are South. You'd have to push through half the HRE just to use Deus Vult.
