I don't see anything strange about having two powerful PU?
View attachment 230202 Is it strange that the Ottomans have an army 3 times as big as their force limit in 1462 or am i missing out on something?
it is for me
I suppose it depends on which country has PU on which. In this case I don't find it particularly strange.I don't see anything strange about having two powerful PU?
They might be allied with someone you fought a war with, or in some relationship with them. That unveils capitals. Still REALLY weird.
WTF with these GH alliances? Only catholic states, 4 of them being in the HRE, and 3 of them being OPM inside the HRE. What is going through Bek Bulat Genghisid's mind?
Though the Ottomans wasn't an unstable horde and France wasn't a tiny German state surrounded by other German states.Sound like they have lot of common enemies somewhere and they just happen to like each other? Not that strange really. Especially French-Ottoman in real life history did that.
Common ennemies? None of them have any common ennemies.
Maybe Brandenburg is threatened by Poland in GH mind, even if clearly, not at all, considering Poland is in a pretty bad shape and the Empire is strong. But none of the others make any sense from an EU4 perspective. Bosnia is probably only threatened by Hungary and the Ottomans, and the HRE OPM are threatened by noone the Golden Horde even knows about, tbh. I have no idea which modifiers allowed the AI to get these alliances.
I guess the prots won because they didn't have to deal with Bohemia's stupidityIs the HRE gearing up for the League War? The AI gets very friendly with all other league members, so my guess would be that those nations and the Great Horde all joined the same league.
Considering it looks like the Great Horde just got done losing a war, they probably have similar military strength to the OPMs, and were probably forced to annul alliances with past allies, so they are looking for any friends they can get to help against the impending Ottoman or Russian invasion.

The League War just started: this has got to be the fewest nations getting involved I've ever seen. The leagues only started forming a year or so previous to this point; I guess Denmark saw Bohemia as weak and decided to strike fast (Protestants won easily, even after an Enforce Peace attempt brought France in on the Catholic side).

Not often you see a break-away horde with random ideas survive long enough to fill them out. That finisher though
Good prices here!
