Maybe a bit offtopic. Create a thread to ask for help about this. From what I see you are doing ok, however. Your priority should be to get to Egypt asap to secure it before the Ottomans, and then to invade India, to get a massive income base. Try to placate the Ottomans as much as possible for now, possibly get an alliance thanks to common rivalry with the Mamluks. Despite you being heretic, you could keep it for long. The Ottomans passivity is really helping you.View attachment 229910 How am I doing?I try to get the third way achievement and maybe over a thousand
Agreed. But also expand south. You could use that trade company region in africa to get an extra merchant and a nice collection node once you conquer it completely.Maybe a bit offtopic. That won't be easy, right? How exactly are the current rule for moving to another continent? You need more provinces on the new continent? So he would have to go into Africa or Europe very aggressively.I'd move the capital out of Asia (-> Europe is ideal, -> Africa is OK) in order to make trade companies in Asia. Zanzibar/Cape trade companies are OK, but they're nothing compared to the aggregate value of all the Asian TC land you'll grab in a typical Oman game.
Zanzibar is probably the safest collection hub though, with Cape as a buffer zone.
I think it's still the rule that you only may have one province on your home continent. At least when I wanted to move my capital to America and had around 10 provinces there I had to sell all my provinces to be able to change capital. That won't be easy, right? You're undermining your ruler's authority![]()
If that's still the case, it would be very unpractical for him to move his capital... He'd never regain all that lost cores via the extra money he gains with trade companies. If he conquers India and collects most of the trade from india in Zanzibar/Cape he would make almost as much money without the need to abandon that many cores...I think it's still the rule that you only may have one province on your home continent. You can of course give your provinces to a vassal but if it's in 1.19 that option won't be possible. Also, it could be that it has to do with states, and not actual amount of provinces. Maybe it's best to test it.If that's still the case, it would be very unpractical for him to move his capital... Why would it be impossible in 1.19?You can of course give your provinces to a vassal but if it's in 1.19 that option won't be possible. Also, it could be that it has to do with states, and not actual amount of provinces. Maybe it's best to test it.
Because sometimes the tooltip says it will release a nation as a vassal while it actually releases it as a protectorate, and protectorates are as we all know broken at the moment. Why would it be impossible in 1.19?
Anyway, this strat seems a bit excessive for the little gain.
No. First of all this has not changed in between 1.19 and 1.18. And second and most important: On your home continent, protectorates are impossible. And since vassals always stay vassals they will not become protectorates once you move your capital! And btw, this is a good reason NOT to move you capital away from asia. Being able to create vassals in all of asia is very powerful.Because sometimes the tooltip says it will release a nation as a vassal while it actually releases it as a protectorate, and protectorates are as we all know broken at the moment.
