It is they have united most of west africa. Once I started in on Portugal they got oppurtunistic and started taking back the land they had lost.

Good luck finding all anomalies. There are some extra provinces and new tags, but that's it. The only new tag that achieved something there is Montferrat (OPM in NW Italy at th start).

That's not so weird. Mamluks in Yemen are unusual (I never saw them there), but Oman? There is always one nation left in Arabia anyway, is it Oman, Najd, Hejaz, Yemen, Ethiopia or even Shammar or Persia.

Can't believe no one paid attention to this Kazakh. How often do you see it spawn, not mentioning Kazakh owning most of China? This was... new.

I use magical combination of

*Typus Orbis Terrarum, changes basemap
*TBARTW Transparent Political Mapmode
*GFX Overhaul (steam workshop), compatible with these two if you delete GFX Overhaul's files colormap_water.dds, atlas0 and atlas0normal (or something like that, there are basically three files overlapping with Typus' superior ones).

I love it, the only downside is sometimes via weird interaction with transparent grunt different areas of the same country have vastly different shades of its colour. But that's minor.

Oh and to end the series of my screenshots from the same observe game,
