Playing for the first time as Vijayanagar on Ironman. Really cool game. Colonizing Africa and the Pacific while expanding in India.
Get rivaled by Great Britain, France, and Russia. Have a war with Castille, Portugal, Russia, and France.
Rebels are starting to spawn. Navy has been devastated by Portugal.
Deal with all that, anticipating tough future, if at all able to survive against France. Luckily we still have the economy. Then:
Lose more than 3,000 Ducats and -3 stab hit, etc.

This event fires up if you have inflation above 10%, some event like dramatic currency devaluation can happen at 5% that's way not taking economy can be killer
I had that happen to me with Japan some patches ago... when I had over 30k ducats in the bank.

I'm sure you can get more. Set your fleet to explore e.g. the Californian waters, then detach some ships.

Should probably be a disaster rather than an event, though I always thought it took 25% so you'd have to be pretty idiotic to trigger it. Why not post in the suggestions forum?

Ottos prolly got religious rebels rather than nationalist ones and Orthodox Greece just flipped to them. Still fun to look at though

It's not something I've seen before. They're Sunni, not Protestant, and not a part of the HRE for that matter.
Anyone can join the Leagues in game, pretty common seeing people post images of less likely countries-Ottomans at least played a part on the the TYW so abstractly works- such as Golden Horde joining.
Economic ideas can help but you don't need them - just pay down the inflation manually to keep it below 5%. It's not a lot of mana in the grand scheme of things, and it's better to be safe than sorry.
