Well, where I thought about a random world generator, I supposed nations were going to start more or less HISTORICALLY. But then this happened. Aaaaand... no nation was placed even a bit historically...

Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, the world is already messed up 34 years after the start.

I played a nation created in the designer and then immediately annexed myself. That way I can still see the log but I'm not on the map anymore. Weird, but actually kinda practical

So, the weird stuff...

Qara Qoyunlu totally collapsed... and Georgia along with Shirvan profited from it. The Timurids collapsed (nothing unusual), BUT then Shammar took some of their land
Meanwhile, Genoa ate Crimea, Ottomans swept into Hungary. Croatia annexed Bosnia and THEN, Ragusa DoWed them and reduced them to an OPM.

Fun fact : Portugal colonized Mauritania and had 5 provinces there, when Morocco messed up and annexed ALL of it. Hmm... colonialism with to colonists is still doable I guess

- Super Burgundy wrecks France and even takes Paris. Now, who will inherit that? ^^
- Shirvan stronk! kills off Ardalan and takes their land.
- Khorasan defeats the Timurids.
- Shammar STILL controls half of Iraq
- Ethiopia stronk as well.
- other nations doing well : Ottos (they split Georgia in 2 and finally got rid of Candar and Theodoro as well), Muscovy (they rekt the Golden Horde), Alans (what is this I don't even...) and Ming (surprisingly, no collapse. Instead, they push into Manchuria.)

[Ironman w/flag & graphics mods] Apparently Austria gave up on the Austrian-French Imperialist War - they're not even in it anymore! My theory is that they were pulled out when the Danish Succession War started (they contested Savoy's claim to the Danish throne). Austria & Savoy were somehow both fighting against France in that imperial war.

PS: What is up with all the former CNs declaring expansion or imperialism wars on countries they don't even try to fight? I hit Japan twice to take a chunk (for Rising Sun) and EVERYONE piled on in between. Brazil, Chile, USA, Haiti (as you can see above), Mexcio & Colombia all attacked them.

If you were trying to get the Rising Sun achievement, and you saw some European nation trying to gobble them, wouldn't you immediately try to intervene?

To be honest, I've never seen them take any provinces - usually they peace out for war reparations or some ducats. Also, I figured I could just take the provinces from the Europeans afterwards (for less warscore) too. Only France still has their CNs & would be a threat (Norway still has one I guess), all the other CNs broke free. They're just simply not threats.

Besides - how am I supposed to intervene? I'm already fighting a war against Japan? I occupied all the provinces that the other guys weren't sieging.

That is one of those extremely silly things in the game. There should be something(colour is probably the easiest) differing all possible countries that can form the unions Russia, Great Britain, Spain, France, Italy and so on.

The Ottomans have a core on there, which meant they had Macedonia before the player took it. Ottos converted it to Sunni, but with Humanism, which is what the AI Ottos will take, creates random heresies in your nation, like Sunni flipping to Shia or Ibadi. Hence why it's Ibadi there.

If you look at AI Poland or Lithuania, you'll find Coptic provinces every now and then, due to tolerance from Humanism flipping provinces

It's not a "strange" world map if you use the random nation generator....

Nor is it "strange" to mod the game to mess things up, then go "OMG look how weird this map is".
